"This Holiday Inn has been recently rebuilt from the last hurricane (Ida), it looks nice BUT, as soon as you go to your room and microwave one of the small meals they sell up front? ANTS. Luckily not fire ants, but the little raspberry crazy ants. I don't mean one or two either. I took a short video clip of them (20 or 30 of the pests) and showed the clerk up front. I was assured they would spray for these things after I'd leave in the morning for work. To sum it up? I came back after a 12 hour day, didn't smell any pesticides, sat down to eat another microwave enchilada meal, and was again swarmed with MORE ants. I went to the desk and asked if the room had been treated for the pests and was told "they went to look and didn't see any so..." Great. I ended up checking out a day early. When the bugs get to where they run across your face in the middle of the night and wake you up? Yup, that happened. Time to go. I also ran into a bit of passive-aggressive hostility when I checked out early (due to the bugs). I won't go around and actively tell one and all about the bug stampedes or poor service I was rendered BUT if I am asked? I will recommend a motel in Golden Meadow."

"Family owned and operated. Very friendly. Very clean. Small town feel. Safe and secure Walking distance to Blackies diner... Nice and open early for breakfast. Close enough to New Orleans to be there within less than 30 min. Well worth the price. "

"One of the worst places I’ve ever gone I came to check in early and the receptionist looked like her hair was still wet and was rude to me and I’m a diamond member for which I called days ahead to notify that I’d be early in I had to call my boss just for Tori to help me and when I’d walk in from working all day they’d just look at me as I was walking in all they did was sit there it was uncomfortable to even ask them for any accommodations for which they should’ve provided"

"Claudette is an amazing hostess. Her home is immaculate. This is my second stay and am never disappointed. We ventured all over the area and were close to Houma where we did the Mandalay Trail that Claudette recommended to us. It was awesome! The room was beautiful and location very quiet. Breakfast was delicious both days we stayed. Sitting out in the beautiful yard, having my coffee each morning on the bayou, it was peaceful with wildlife. I saw an eagle fly right down the bayou! "
