Hotel dekat Unryu-in, Kyoto

I don't know why, but our room was upgraded! I was very happy, and they responded immediately when we had any problems, so we had a comfortable stay. I wondered if they could store our luggage on the last day... Since it was after we checked out, we talked about going to the coin lockers at the station if that wasn't possible, but we went downstairs while talking to my friend, and they handled our check-out at the front desk, and at the end, the front desk staff asked us, ”Will you be able to store your luggage?” (I don't remember the exact words, but I think it was something like that), which made me really happy! Thanks to them, we were able to enjoy sightseeing comfortably until the very last day after checking out! I'd like to use them again when I go to Kyoto! Thank you!

The hostel is near Kyoto Station, about 5-10 minutes' walk away, and it is very convenient to go anywhere. Many attractions can be reached in about half an hour's walk, such as Fushimi Inari Taisha, Tofukuji Temple, Toji Temple, and Kamogawa... There are free tea bags and coffee beans, and you can make your own coffee. There is a kitchen and a refrigerator, which is very convenient.

Great breakfast dor 2200 yen. Room is clean and comfortable. Personal is polite.

A very unexpected hotel. I thought it was a private B&B (it was actually a large hotel). It was located under the Kyoto Tower. In order to take the airport bus, I booked it for one night with a try-it attitude. The result was completely beyond my expectations. The room was bigger than the B&B I stayed in before, which cost 2,600 yuan a night. Fortunately, I chose breakfast and dinner. The dinner was more abundant than the plum blossom I had the day before, and the service in the hotel restaurant was more thoughtful and meticulous. You can choose your own pajamas on the first floor, and the children's clothes are super cute. There is a sister who speaks Chinese at the front desk, and the service is warm and thoughtful. I will choose it again and recommend it to my friends.

The room is smaller than Osaka but it is enough for a single person traveling alone! The only thing is that the front desk is not very welcoming (compared to Osaka) And the location is good, right next to the subway, and there is a bus stop at the door! It is very convenient to go to the attractions! It is also convenient to walk to Kyoto Station and the bus station (aventi). It is a residential area, relatively quiet, but there seems to be nothing to eat around. I was assigned a room next to the elevator, which was quite noisy at night, but I was not too scared of the noise outside when I lived alone.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Hokke Club Kyoto. Upon check-in, I was delighted by a thoughtful perk: every guest gets to choose two small gifts from a selection that included moisturizing masks, hair bands, lotions, bath salts, and more. This added a nice personal touch to the experience. I booked a small double room for under $80 USD, which, while not cheap, is relatively affordable for Kyoto. The room was compact but well-designed, offering enough space to comfortably access the bed from both the side and bottom. The bathroom, though small, was functional, featuring a bidet (common in Japan), a deep but short bathtub, and plenty of amenities. The hotel also provided pajamas, slippers, a hot water kettle, tea, glass cups, and reliable Wi-Fi, making the stay even more convenient. The room had windows that could be opened or closed for ventilation, and both the AC and hot water worked flawlessly, ensuring a comfortable environment. While breakfast was available, I opted not to try it due to its price of around ¥1600 and my past experiences with underwhelming hotel breakfasts. The only downside was the early 10 AM checkout time, which led to a bit of a rush for the elevator in the morning. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall quality of the stay. For travelers seeking a comfortable and budget-friendly option in Kyoto with thoughtful amenities, I highly recommend Hotel Hokke Club Kyoto.

The hotel not far from JR station about 12 min walk, which you can take bus or train to travel around Kyoto. Room also have onsen for guest, and have mall near by just walk not more than 5 min

The breakfast is great, the location is great, and it's convenient for traveling. The room is not new but clean. The only downside is that I didn't sleep well for the two nights I stayed here. The air conditioner was too noisy... I turned it down and it was too hot, which was very frustrating...

The room was large with a huge bad and lots of space, the bathtub and toilet were separated. The view from the windows was pretty nice. Breakfast was good. However, there wasn’t loudly around, the closest one was 20 minutes walk from the hotel, and internet connection was pretty poor, I often couldn’t contact to the internet at all, it might be because I lived in the 4th floor in a corner room. There’s a great sushi restaurant just 1 minutes from the hotel, which I would recommend to visit. It cost me around 8000¥ for one person. Convenient stores and a metro station were just 5 minutes walk.
