Hotel dekat Sō-jinja Shrine, Kyoto

I spent four days in Kyoto and experienced Roku Kyoto near Kinkakuji Temple for one day. The scenery on the mountainside is pleasant. The overall feeling is full of details. It pays attention to environmental protection. Parking is free. There are welcome snacks when checking in. I regret not taking this mascot with me. It is so cute. The bed was very comfortable and I was so tired that I fell asleep in seconds. The breakfast variety was not as rich as Westin's. There is no need for a garden view room. You can't see the distant scenery. The swimming pool is warm and very comfortable. All in all, it’s a hotel very suitable for relaxation and leisure~ Recommend to all couples and homies.

It was a very good stay. I walked around with the tour guide and deeply experienced the philosophy of light and shadow in the garden. One day of dinner was Japanese Kaiseki and the other day was Aman restaurant, each with its own characteristics. It was a pity that I didn't meet Chef Takagi again for Japanese Kaiseki (I met him in his hometown Zeniya a few years ago). It is a recommended hotel, and it is also one of the Aman hotels with Japanese Kyoto characteristics.

It's an impressive hotel! Attentive service staff who can speak fluent English are always ready to assist in any way. Partager room is large and comfy with all the necessities provided including a capsule coffee machine and tea set. There are also multiple restaurants to choose from in the hotel varying in cuisines, however, some do require a day reservation in advance, or you can opt for the room service if you are feeling cosy for the day. They also provide a shuttle bus service to Karasuma Oike station on a schedule (about twice every hour) and the journey takes around 7 minutes. Really pleased with the experienced, will definitely book again whenever I am back in Kyoto!

During my recent stay at this unique Kyoto hotel, I was impressed by several aspects. The staff, predominantly international, were comfortable communicating in English, which made my stay much more convenient. While the location is slightly north of central Kyoto, requiring some extra travel time to reach the main tourist areas, I found this to be a blessing in disguise. The hotel's proximity to the serene Kyoto Imperial Palace Gardens (Kyoto Gyoen) offers guests a peaceful retreat from the city's bustle. The quiet neighborhood perfectly captures the traditional atmosphere of Kyoto. One particularly interesting aspect is the hotel's ninja theme. For enthusiasts of Japanese ninja culture, this adds an exciting and unique dimension to the stay. The themed elements throughout the property create an engaging experience that sets it apart from standard hotels.

Stayed for 4 nights, the overall experience was great! First of all, before check-in, the hotel team set up a WeChat group to understand our check-in needs, and provided Kyoto tour and dining suggestions. They also helped us book some very good restaurants and gave us many practical tour suggestions; During check-in, the team's 24-hour WeChat group standby was very considerate and timely to meet our various needs during our stay! Room experience: The room design is advanced, and it can be seen that the hotel has spent a lot of thought on hard and soft furnishings, taking into account both aesthetic expression and various life functions, making our stay very comfortable. The room is equipped with a washing machine, microwave oven, coffee machine, induction cooker and kitchen island. The single room area is more than 60 square meters, and it also has a tea break terrace, which is very suitable for family long-term travel. The geographical location is also very advantageous. The bus station and subway station are within 5 minutes of walking, and it is 3 stops away from the bustling area of ​​Kyoto. Convenience stores and delicious restaurants are all within 7-10 minutes of walking. In front of the hotel is the Kamo River Jumping Stone. My daughter goes to the Kamo River to play in the water every morning. In general, the geographical location is excellent and impeccable. The staff is very high-quality and considerate. Without exception, they can serve us from the perspective of guests, making us feel at ease like going home. This hotel has indeed become our home in Kyoto! It was clean, but the shared space is a bit uncomfortable for women. There seems to be a women-only floor, but I didn't know about it when I made the reservation and only found out after I got there. I told them I wanted to use the shower room (even if I had to pay extra), but they said it was not possible, so I felt uncomfortable using the shared shower room and didn't use it. I wish it was written a bit more clearly. Men were also surprised to see women there, so I don't think it was comfortable for either of them.

The receptionist was very nice. The room was small good for solo traveler. The hallways are equipped with air purifiers. My only issue was the bathroom/toilet. It doesn’t smell okay so I kept the exhaust fan on the whole time.

A hotel a lil further from the city, but close enough to Nijo Castle with easy access to buses, stops were really close to the Studio. We enjoyed our stay there. There was a Second Street relatively close by (via bus) and a few grocery shops too which was quite convenient for us, even in the heat of a summer in Kyoto. The people at the counter changed almost everyday and they were mostly friendly. Thoroughly found the luggage service at Kyoto Station very convenient too, so we did not have to lug it around after checking out, before our train to the airport. Beds were large and room was relatively bigger than usual. though the sofa bed mattresses did not entirely seem to fit the frame and sunk in a little at some places. Very good value for money!

I didn’t drink it on the first night. I came back the next day and added new ones~ It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the subway to the hotel. There are also several convenience stores nearby, including 7-11 and LAWSON. There is also a 24-hour supermarket There is also a bus stop right at the entrance of the alley. All in all, I like it very much

This is a very nice little hotel not far from the mountains and also very close to Nijo-Jo Castle. The transportation links are excellent as buses stop right outside and the metro is a five minute walk away. I would highly recommend this to anyone on a budget.
