Ulasan Village Kyoto

We arrived via Hankyu Kyoto line and the exit that gets to the hotel has elevator so that alone is already a bonus. It’s walking distance to that exit so extremely convenient. The room is bigger than expected with tatami and a low tea table if you want to enjoy the Japanese culture. What I like is that they didn’t use traditional Tatatmi but modern materials called Bolon as a replacement which is cleaner and nicer too. The storage space and tea amenities are excellent. Not to mention there is also the onsen facility in the hotel which our family enjoy. It’s relaxing after a long day of sightseeing . Overall is excellent and we will stay here again .

We like this hotel because it is not far from the bus station. Facilities are included public bathroom which you can enjoy hot tub shower. Happy hour with free Sake unlimited drink and enjoy home made ice cream. Our room is japanese style with restroom included. Nice one

I like the Sake station that provide at lobby. And also the pajamas. Even the free ice cream. Great service from receptionist. Only a bit troublesome need to self arrange bed daily due to tatami mattress.

Our stay at Kyoto Village was delightful and offered a perfect base for exploring Kyoto and the surrounding areas. The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to major attractions like Nishiki Market and Gion, where we enjoyed strolling through Pontocho Street, sampling yakitori, and soaking up the quintessentially Japanese street atmosphere. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing us with a parking permit for a nearby garage and even assisting with parking, which made the process stress-free. Our room was comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed a casual meal of sushi we had purchased in Uji earlier in the day. After a long walk and some late-night supermarket shopping, we relaxed in the hotel's onsen—a truly peaceful way to end the evening. The next day, after a convenient breakfast delivered to our room, we ventured out to Arashiyama and the Bamboo Forest. Despite the crowds, the scenic views and natural beauty were well worth the visit. Later, we headed to Fushimi Inari Taisha, where we managed to catch the last bit of sunlight and explore the shrine in a quieter, more serene atmosphere. Overall, the location of Kyoto Village, coupled with its proximity to key attractions and the relaxing onsen, made this stay a great experience. We highly recommend it for anyone looking to explore Kyoto in comfort and style.

The service, price and environment are perfect, and there are free drinks, popsicles and baths. Transportation and shopping are very convenient. There are buses, subways and 711 at the door. If I come next time, I will stay here again.

Overall, it was a very good place to stay. We were looking for a clean place to stay on a budget, so this was just what we wanted. The service was also good, with a Japanese sake server for welcome drinks, free sweet red bean soup, and free ice cream after the bath - it felt like more than what the price would suggest. The large communal bath was also clean, and seemed well-maintained. We were surprised that the hallway to our room was outside, but it was nice and cool after the bath.

This is the perfect hotel for sightseeing in Kyoto. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The large public bath was also great. There was also a sake tasting session. It was close to the station and had good access, so I could quickly return to the hotel even if I was tired from work. The room had everything I needed and was comfortable. I would consider staying here on my next business trip.
