Breathtaking Sunset Views: Spending time at the Lounge "AO" on the 8th floor of Bettei Fuka was a spiritual experience. Watching the sunset over the Kyotango coastline with a drink in hand is a memory we will cherish forever. 3. Outstanding Service (Sakura-san): A special mention must go to Sakura-san. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were exemplary. She anticipated our every need and represents the very best of Japanese Omotenashi. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Mr. Yasuhiko Okita and the General Manager, Mr. Nakanishi, for maintaining such an incredible standard of excellence. If you are looking for a sanctuary that combines luxury, nature, and heartfelt service, Ujo Soan is the only choice. We cannot wait to return."

"It was my first visit in a year. All I saw was the sea, the mountains, and silence. I enjoyed a meal of fresh local seafood (this time I enjoyed abalone, giant shrimp, mussels, smelts, and local sake). I could relax in the hot spring whenever I wanted. The staff were wonderful, and they read the mood of the guests and were considerate in their conversation and consideration. I was also impressed by the encounter with the wild deer and the gecko that seems to live at the inn. I was able to forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend a relaxing time. This is one of the inns I would like to visit when I'm tired of everyday life."

"Kumihama is a rural town in Kyotango City, on the Sea of Japan coast of Kyoto. It's less than a 3-hour drive from Kansai, and from May onwards, the season for night fishing for white squid (kensaki squid), a specialty of the Sea of Japan, begins. In June, you can catch large white squid called "daiken" and in large numbers, so many anglers flock there. Kumihama is a local area, so it's relatively easy to book a boat, and what's more, Minato-so is an accommodation that also offers boats for squid fishing experiences, making it very convenient. The boat charter is inexpensive, and the captain is friendly. After fishing, you can return to the inn and relax in the bath, washing away the dirt and sweat. Many people go all the way from Kansai to the Sea of Japan to fish for squid and then head straight home, but here you can rest and relax before going back. Also, many fishing spots are less than 30 minutes from the port, so although Kumihama is a bit of a distance away, the boat travel time is extremely short, making it highly recommended!
