Ulasan Orange Hotel (Kunming Green Lake)

I had a great experience staying at the Orange Hotel. The service was efficient. They let me check in early. Even when I made a mistake on my booking, they fixed the problem for me. The room is clean and bright and everything works effectively. The location is excellent. The hotel is surrounded by cute cafes and bakeries. It is a walking distance from the Cui lake. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Located at side of the ancient town, very quiet place. Affordable price and comfortable room.

Super close to Geen Lake park. Area has lots of shops and eateries. So nice that I wish I can buy an apartment there and live there! Hotel laundry takrs time if lots of people go wash, but it is a nice thing to have. Breakfast was good. Overall, great stay.

This hotel is easy to check in and service is good for helping anything that comes up,. It is in a very nice areas for foods and entertainments.

we paid a lot of money to stay here and at that price we felt it was really a bad deal. A few days later after the holiday season, the price dropped to about 1/3 of what we had paid and I guess it wouldn’t be too bad at that price point. The main advantage of this place is that it’s right in the heart of the student area with a lot of coffee, shops, and a few restaurants. Maybe a 10 minute walk down to the lake which is not too bad also.  the bed part about the location is that solid 20 minute walk from the metro station with part of it being uphill. one thing that we found strange about this hotel is that when you enter the lobby it’s just an elevator when you go up to the top floor to check in. Like many places, no one speaks a word of English, and they seem to even have a hard time reading the checking voucher that is provided by trip. the breakfast was OK for a Chinese breakfast. Not the best, but not too bad. However, if you’re expecting anything like an American or European breakfast, it is fairly disappointing.  we returned to the city a few days later, and decided to book a different hotel, rather than return to this one 

The Orange Hotel is good but not perfect. It was well-located (near shops, restaurants and Green Lake) and clean but we had some minor problems with the service and the facilities. It took persistence and two maintenance visits to fix the fridge, and the lighting was unnecessarily complex and unintuitive. There was also no direct lighting for the dining table, so we had to eat in the dark. Finally, even if not perfect, the Orange Hotel was great value and we would happily stay there again.

Excellent hotel, large and comfy beds, very clean, good service.

I have stayed here before and this time we tried a room with no window. I had a very good sleep because it was very quiet. One thing I don’t understand is that the introduction of the rooms says they are non-smoking, but there is an ashtray in the room and some cigarette smell still lingers.

Really nice and affordable hotel near Cuihu lake in Kunming. Make sure to ask twice for a non-smoking room if you decide on that, as the smoke smell is very strong on the smoking floors. Amenities are great, and breakfast is good as well.

I will stay here whenever I visit Kunming again. Centralized location. Lovely streets. Great value. Free self-serve laundry service. Was a pleasant stay.

Great location in downtown old Kunming. Super easy to get to and a great neighborhood.
