Charming property with a lots of small touches. Amazing staff. Great ayuvrdic spa treatments. The pictures say it all. My kids said this was our most relaxing and de-stressing trip they have had with us. There is quick experience encompassing an evening sunset cruise that is complimentary.

A paradise on Earth.. Such a faboulous landscaping of a resort make it uncomfortable . One day was never enough but the welcoming and the service were the parts that will make me come back very soon.. lots of activities that I couldnt manage to do them all .. thank you manager ,kavi ,Aleena ,Binny and everyone else for being a family

Geography : 2 hours drive from Kochi on comfortable roads passing through canals and some beautiful villages . The property is bang on the lake and got a good sized lake front . Layout : The place is gorgeous , big expansive green property , well Manicured lawns , a huge lake front with a good sized water activity area . There are built in water bodies inside the resort too, which give a bak water feeling to it . The meandering pool is huge , well kept and must be around 200 m in length . Operating hours are 0700-2100….. so plenty of time for a splash , and if you got a room next to it … just walk into it . Infinity pool is lovely , never miss a sunset there . Good sitting areas , chairs , benches and strategically placed hammocks . My congratulations to the architect team . Facilities / activities : A good repertoire of activities , n number of water activities , sunset and back water cruises , house and speed boats , games , gym ( I found that to be under-equipped ) , cycling , pottery etc …. But you can just walk around the place if you don’t want to swim . The sun is strong , do keep Sunscreen and hats , though clouds do give a pleasant surprise during the afternoon and some times ,a not so pleasant one at sunset time . Sunset : that’s the star activity / theme here . JUST DONT MISS IT … mark a day for the cruise and another at the pool . It’s as lovely as it can get and more …. Culinary : kudos to the chef for dishing out yummy dosas and chai / coffee counter was good . But there was little change in the day to day menu . We were there three nights , but the menu was almost the same …. That was disappointing…Lunch was better … the sea food place was good . The poolside bar closed at 6, that was a lowdown , cause people swam at the time a lot ….. during the day , the infinity pool had direct sun with no shade . The bar there can open till 7 or late …. But that’s what I feel… Coffee was good , whether it was the filter coffee or the cappuccino, it was smooth with the right aroma . Don’t miss out Paul John Single malt , if you are a scotch lover . Don’t miss the 4-5 pm tea session in the garden . Rooms: Reasonably well furnished , with touches of local culture , the room key was fascinating and was difficult to loose . Though , absence of a card may translate into more electricity usage . The bed I feel was too high for comfort and the low ceiling above the head , gave a claustrophobic feeling. Mosquitoes are a big problem , but the house keeping team help arrives real quick with their concoction of anti - mosquito devices . There are geese and other animals around … but they don’t bother you a bit , unless it’s the crows and the food is near you . Staff : very friendly and courteous, our Yoga instructor- Shiva was good , Vishnu was a good hand at the camera , our driver Benny was very friendly and skill full . Among many others , I do appreciate Anju for her calm Demeanour and kind words . Check in and Check out is smooth . Fina

Excellent and superb service. From the time of arrival, check in etc you are treated like royalty all the time up until your departure. Food, service everything was absolutely devine. The boat house is a must and was the highlight of our trip. The entire resort staff are so well trained and fulfills all your needs and desires. The villas opens up to your own private section of a winding pool. Mosquitoes can be some what of a problem, not to worry, they have you covered for that too. Did I mention the complementary arrival snacks and drinks...it's wow. We loved everything of this place and couldn't fault them even if we wanted to.

We had a fantastic stay at the resort! Room 134 had a soft mattress, which wasn’t to our preference, but everything else was wonderful. The staff across the property, especially those at the breakfast dining area and the sunset cruise team, were incredibly friendly and attentive. We particularly enjoyed the evening tea setup—it felt nostalgic and charming to sit under a hut while sipping tea. The in-house activities were delightful; we tried clay vase making, fishing, and loved the cultural show dances, which were the highlight of our trip. Thank you for providing such a memorable experience. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a very good stay and all the saff was excellent...food was super awesome..hospitality was next level just wanted to add in kerala this was the best experience we had and also we dif houseboat tour

We stayed in Kumarkom for 2nights 3 days and entire staff was amazing specially Banisha, Anju, Kavi , Nandhu, Gibral, Aarthy, Arunji touched our heart. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and hope to come back soon. We highly recommend this property.

This is a beautiful heritage resort situated on Lake Kumarakom - the grounds are beautiful with an army of gardeners making it all very special. All the staff in the resort make this the special place that it is ! Our meandering pool Villa was very comfortable and the meandering pool very nice and immaculately clean. We also stayed for a night in one of the resorts own houseboats which was a very special experience- our thanks to all the crew especially the chef !

Leaving from the resort, we had two fantastic nights on a KLR houseb oat with Vishnu and Pramut steering us through the Kerala backwaters, with its many bird species and interesting sights. Amir very kindly adapted his menus to provide a truly lovely experience of typical Kerala meals. (You need to let them know if you want a less Europeanised version of food). We really loved the lazy days of sightseeing. We thought we’d be lazing *****, ready books as the scenery passed, but the trip was fascinating and very engaging. We were lucky to be travelling before the full fleet of houseboats is out and about though off-season also meant a spectacular (in the nice sense) storm. Fascinating and enjoyable. The crew were great. We then had a day/night in the beautiful hotel resort itself, that last part of our nine days in Kerala. The staff managing the resorts many services are thorough and thoughtful. The staff at the infinity pool are on hand to help in sunshine and rain - an extra umbrella kept the rain off while we sunbathed in a downpour. We make special mention of Basin and Nandhara for their guidance and attentive service in the restaurant on our last night. Beautiful facilities. Wonderful room. What a way to say good bye to Kerala (for now!)

This resort was magical! We stayed at the end of a 2 week journey around India and it was exactly what we needed to relax before heading back to the States. Everything was top notch! The service was fantastic, everyone constantly greeting you and ready to help make your stay special. The rooms were unique and lovely - we stayed in two different pool villas and both were uniquely local with all the amenities. The Ayurvedic services were outstanding. The infinity pool with lake views was serene and beautiful. A stay on the houseboat is an absolute must - the food, the views, the service - all a once in a lifetime experience. We can’t stop telling people about our amazing stay at this resort!

Excellent resort. Great location, beautiful rooms and flavorful food and drinks . The service is probably the best we received in kerala. Tip: get a meandering pool villa if possible. It’s private and is great value

Me and my sister ***** with my mother stayed at the Kumarakom lake resort for about 7 days . We thoroughly enjoyed the stay especially the canal cruise and lunch cruise.spa is nice .but I must mention JOHNY (senior restaurant manager) specifically because he totally pampered us .loved the food.
