Coconut Lagoon Kumarakom- a CGH Earth Experience

Beautiful relaxing resort.. warm wonderful welcome. Amazing views across the lake. The hotel boat collects you further down the waterway and you arrive by boat at the reception with a smiling welcome party . The customer service is excellent and food very good. You can go birdwatching with a guide, make your own clay pot and weave a drinks coaster with local crafts people in the hotel grounds. They also have a Butterfly garden with many species and monitor lizards. The rooms are fabulous with incredibly comfortable beds.

If I could have given more stars, I would have. Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The team of staff throughout this hotel are outstanding everyone we encountered were so helpful and friendly. Location is stunning and everything is centered around being eco friendly. The hotel offers lots of free activities from, pottery making, bird watching, butterfly garden just to name a few. On arrival I had a poor stomach ( nothing to do with this hotel ), the restaurant team went out of there way to prepare me less spicy plainer food to aid my recovery. The food was amazing, my wife ate from the buffet she also said it was stunning. I genuinely don't believe anything could have improved our experience here. We're in love

Coconut Lagoon is a paradise at the end of the earth. Great service, environment and activities and ayurvedic spa! Staff was friendly and excellent. My second time here and will be returning. It was monsoon season but we had good weather and it rained only about once.

Everything about our stay and experience in this property has been First Class! We arrived at Kumarakom on the 27th and were ferried to the resort in a Boat, This experience of being ferried in a boat to the resort in itself was a unique one (our first time) like something from James Bond movie. We were Welcomed at the resort in true Kerala style with a flute recital and fresh coconut water, while the Checking in formalities were taking place. We were fortunate to have been upgraded to a mansion, which was an experience of a different kind. The location is excellent. With Vembenad lake on one side and multiple canals surrounding all cottages and gardens.. It is like a heaven on earth . It had a lovely ayurvedic spa. Thoroughly enjoyed the rejuvenating massage therapy. Would specially like to mention few people who took personal care of us like Tijo from front desk and AGM Shynima. Few other names also I would like to mention Chitra, Mervin , Silvin from housekeeping, Anjitha from front desk Vinita, Sajitha and Dr Aishwarya from spa and of course all the restaurant staff who made all possible efforts to make our stay comfortable. The most special thing was classical dance recital every evening by excellent performers . I have become big fan of Parvathi for both mohiniattam and Bharatnatyam .Her expressions, mudras excellent. Last but not least would like to thank GM for managing everything so beautifully from behind the screen. So overall 5 stars for the stay and experience. Would surely visit again and recommend to friends also.

The ambience of the stay was excellent, we loved the idea of reaching the hotel through a boat. People here are too helpful and kind. We liked the evening cultural activities like dance and music it was a pleasant full experience. The food here was great authentic Kerala food.

Well our experience took off even before arriving at the property. We expected to drive into the property, but our car took us to a private boat jetty. We were to take a 15 min boat ride. Our first sight of the property took our breath away. A traditional setting - A vintage, all wooden reception, a walkway over the canal, a traditional Kerala house for the dining area and a scenic walk towards our room. Our room - A traditional 2 storied Kerala house with a living room downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. A canal by the side of the house and a view of the Vembanad lake from our bedroom window. Boathouses in the distance and all sizes of boats 50 feet from where we lived. A view of the vast expanse of water and the greenery all around. The traditional houses placed in the midst of this setting -simply breathtaking. The staff and food are excellent. We found this to be a common thing in the other CGH properties. Excellent staff - professional, friendly yet not-in-your-face. A must stay …. 2 days is good. We enjoyed every bit of the experience
