Kula Lodge

We were on Maui for 10 days and this was probably one of, if not the best meal we had on the island. I booked our lunch spot for a Saturday since we were planning on being in Kula for a bit and then heading up to Haleakala. We were sat right away and just LOVED the views! They were breathtaking. We didn't realize that they were serving Brunch that Saturday so we were disappointed at first because my husband really wanted their Ramen (which was not available that day). He finally caved in and got the special that day, ginger crusted ahi tuna with a light salad. It was his favorite meal!! One of my daughters got the breakfast sampler, my other daughter got a pepperoni pizza and I got a white pizza. The pizzas were made in their outdoor pizza oven and were delicious. The drinks were great and served quickly from the bar. They also had a someone playing some live music and he heard our table guessing all the songs so he played us anything from Frozen, to Metallica to Jimmy Buffet. We really enjoyed this experience!

Had a wonderful happy hour here at the Kula Lodge and Restaurant. The views are great and the pizza was excellent. Had the garlic prawn pizza with the garlic cream sauce. Yum! Worth the drive up country to get it! Short trail outside for views and plants. Loved it.

We always stop at the Lodge for our trip to upcountry Maui. It is a rustic restaurant with huge pizza ovens out back and a beautiful garden you can walk around and take pictures of. The view is wonderful. The downside was it was packed and it seemed like there was only one server. I could be wrong about that, but I don't think I am. She was wonderful. She kept thanking us for our patience and there really wasn't much of a delay in getting our meal. I had the cheese omlet with potatoes and the most wonderful ham I have ever had for breakfast! It was really hot, too. We were not rushed at all, even though people kept coming in. We didn't have reservations...never needed them before, but, next time, I will make some. This was on a Sunday and I think alot of the people were staying at the Lodge or locals. We haven't had a dinner there, yet, so I can't soeak to that menu. Its always our first stop in the upcountry.

Went to the bar after going to the Botanical Gardens and had a ball visiting with the bartender, some patrons, and some great beverages. The grounds are beautiful and I think I'll have to figure out how to go back and stay at the lodge. The view was incredible!

My husband and I had a great Sunday lunch at Kula Lodge & Restaurant during our recent trip to Maui. The food and service was excellent. The views from the balcony were beautiful. The prices were reasonable. Highly recommended.

I have been a big fan of this restaurant for many years and have sent many Maui visitors due to the great experiences I’ve had there with my family. I went there solo today and was made to wait close to 30 minutes for my breakfast, which when it arrived, was greasy and non-appetizing. I had ordered my omelette with wheat toast, which came late and was white not wheat. I ordered decaf coffee which came late and then a refill was never delivered. Although I had to wait quite a while for my mail to be served, the server never came by to tell me what was going on and when to expect my breakfast. Very disappointed and I’m hoping this is not an indication of the direction in which this place is going.

Restaurant view was unbelievable! The food was delicious. I had the French Onion Soup and it was the best! I also had the Crab Cakes and enjoyed them, too. My cousin had the Ribs and I had one. They were tender and had a wonderful savory flavor! The service was excellent and again I can't say enough about the overall experience! It is the full package! We were so thankful someone recommended we eat here! (Thanks Ruby!)

One of my most favorite spots on Maui. My late wife and I could never pass it by without stopping in for a bite. Great view looking down on the central Maui valley from about 3600 feet upslope on Haleakala.

Very good food with amazingly views. The staff was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. It's so nice being up country and enjoying the outdoor dining area. Also if your lucky you'll see a chameleon walking around the property!
