"The environment was excellent and very quiet. The old house, built in 1838, had a wonderful atmosphere. There's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs, but the staff can help. The dinner at the restaurant was fantastic, truly deserving of its three-star rating. Although the price wasn't cheap, I was very satisfied."

"In a beautiful part of Southern Ireland this very modern yet very comfortable house was a delight. Not the easiest place to get to but well worth it with views across the sea. our hostess was very friendly and obliging. My advice would be to get there from Wednesday onwards as Murphy’s restaurant within walking distance which is highly recommended, only does light bites on Monday and Tuesday. However O’Connor’s , only 6 minutes drive away was a quaint little pub, catering mainly for walkers."

But you definitely need to go there by yourself, and the transportation is not convenient in the first place. Environment: first class! love it! Although the hotel has been around for many years, the renovation has retained the original classic flavor while injecting new vitality. Every detail is reflected in every detail. It is really well done! Food: It’s better than what you eat outside, and it’s more delicious and more reasonably priced."

"I stayed at the hotel whilst I was in Ballybunion to spend time in the place my late wife grew up and to reconnect with her family. Without the help of the wonderful people who run hotel I would not have found them. Aoife in particular made a huge effort. I am a wheelchair user and they gave me all of the help I needed. The hotel is everything you would want in a hotel. Everything is to the highest standard, including the rooms and the restaurant. The food was excellent, beautifully cooked and served. I enjoyed the gentle music in the restaurant every night. The people at the hotel are so welcoming and kind. I would recommend it very highly."

"Excellent breakfasts with a stunning view of the lake. A cozy place, but the hotel bills itself as a spa, yet the pool is small and cold, and the tiles are old and peeling. The jacuzzi didn't work. There's no hammam or spa in the relaxation area. They can sometimes provide one separately, as a compliment, but it's located separately. Also, we paid extra for a lake view, but there was a cemetery right in front of it. Such nuances should be mentioned; they ruined the atmosphere."

Hair dryer is the old hotel style which broke 5 mins in. They did drop me in a replacement but I feel in 2025 rooms should have proper hair dryer and iron in the rooms. Otherwise lovely place."

"An Ce Hideout is a spectacular newly built house in the picturesque village of Brandon, West Kerry. The rooms are spacious , spotlessly clean, with comfortable facilities. It is easily one of the best guesthouses in West Kerry. The location close to Brandon Pier is second to none and a short stroll to Murphy's bar and restaurant. I would recommend it to any traveller. It is worth checking what restaurants are open locally when you are travelling as some only operate 5 days."
