Corfu Hellinis Hotel

Food repetitive, no labels on food, nothing suitable for kids but advertised as kid friendly food! Chips only once all week. mattress really hard and pillow really lumpy & slats broken on bed, we had to put suitcase under bed to stop the slats from going through, other holiday makers had the same issue. shower was so tiny you could only just fit in but almost impossible to move in there to wash. The all inclusive finished at 10, we charged €13 for 2 x litre bottles of water at 10.30 from hotel reception!!!!! cleaning not great, made bed but not cleaned anywhere else. no pool bar or snack bar as stated when booking. no good for anyone with mobility issues as the nearest shop was up a really steep hill. Hotel was in a residential area and there was a very strong smell of sewerage. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The nearest shop is up a very steep hill, anyone with walking difficulties would not be able to go. There is a bus outside for €2. Hotel is in a very residential area and often smells very strong of sewerage. I would never return this hotel but the island has some amazing views!

I had significant doubts about my stay at the Hellinis Hotel in Corfu, mainly due to some worrying reviews I had read beforehand. To be honest, I was dreading every day leading up to the trip. However, the experience turned out to be quite the opposite of what I had feared. First impressions were fantastic. The journey to the hotel was quick and easy, and upon arrival, the hotel looked welcoming and well-maintained. The lobby and pool area were clean, tidy, and spacious, which immediately put me at ease. Checking in was a breeze. We filled in a form and paid the residency tax without any hassle. Though we were informed that our room wouldn’t be ready until 3 PM, the receptionists were very accommodating. They provided us with our all-inclusive wristbands right away, allowing us to enjoy the hotel’s amenities from the moment we arrived. The food at Hellinis Hotel is authentically Greek. If you’re expecting familiar comfort foods like chicken nuggets and pizza, this isn’t the place for you. Instead, the hotel offers a delightful array of Greek salads, Corfiat specialties, and delicious desserts. It was a wonderful culinary adventure. My room was adequate—small, but sufficient for our needs. They upgraded me from a single to a double room at no extra charge, which was a pleasant surprise. Although the bed was a bit uncomfortable, the room served as an excellent base for our daily excursions. The pool was another highlight: clean, tidy, and refreshingly cool. Special mentions go to Mike and Sophia at the bar, who were outstanding in their service and hospitality. Their cocktails were fantastic, and they always went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The restaurant staff were efficient and discreet, quickly clearing our plates and offering helpful advice about the various dishes. Their assistance was especially appreciated when we weren’t sure what certain foods were. Breakfast at the Hellinis Hotel was, unfortunately, quite disappointing. The selection was limited and lacked the quality I had hoped for. The hot options were often lukewarm, and the variety was minimal, making it difficult to find something enjoyable to start the day. Despite the overall positive experience at the hotel, breakfast was definitely the low point of my stay. The shower in the room was a bit on the small side, but not as bad as some reviews had suggested. The bathroom had a drainage system to handle any overflow, which was a smart touch. Housekeeping did an excellent job, cleaning our room daily and providing fresh towels. The staff were always friendly and ready to assist with any needs we had. Overall, the Hellinis Hotel is perfect for those willing to try new foods, explore a new place, and enjoy a bit of plane spotting. Being an airport hotel, you do hear airplanes occasionally, but with the patio doors closed, the noise was minimal, and we slept soundly. In conclusion, we had a restful sleep and a wonderful holiday. I truly can't fault the Hellinis Hot

When we arrived our room was a double instead of a twin which the staff thankfully rectified within 5 minutes. We were glad of this as the twin room was bigger and the drains smelled less in the bathroom, it was also further away from the pool and the noise. This doesn't claim to be a luxury hotel so I feel the reviews are harsh, we were dreading it after reading some of them. The bathrooms are outdated and small but you're in them for a very small amount of time. There's enough room to put away your belongings and a nice space on the balcony to sit and relax. The staff will clean your room every day and refresh your towels as you need them, which is appreciated. I bought a travel kettle with me, but you need to use bottled water, not the bathroom tap water. There's a decent sized fridge in the room which is good to hold a few full size bottles and some cans. There's a mini market up the hill, and the Skyview bar does amazing cocktails. The beds aren't the most comfortable, we put the thick blankets from the wardrobe under our sheets and they've helped pad it a bit. The highlight of staying here has been the food. The evening meals are absolutely brilliant. We've tried so many different Greek and Corfiot dishes as they offer a wide variety that changes every night. There are salads, pork, chicken and beef options, potatoes/chips rice and pasta, and several desert options. Moussaka, Slouvaki, Gyros, and lots of tasty stews I cant pronounce the name of! Some of the beef dishes I've tried here have been the tastiest I've ever had. The chef creates so much depth of flavours, and balances everything perfectly. You can indulge yourself and feel lovely afterwards as all the ingredients are fresh and good for you. The chef is a lovely friendly man, and I would take him home as my personal chef if I could! The whole team work really hard in the restaurant to maintain a relaxed but spotless environment to enjoy your food. Staff have been great explaining the different dishes to us which we've loved. The location is good for getting about with a bus stop outside the hotel and the pool always had space when we wanted to use it. The staff have been friendly and helpful when we've asked for it. The bar staff are accommodating and will make whatever cocktail you ask for. The Hellinis kum Quat cocktail is delicious. Wish we could have had glasses instead of plastic cups. The airport noise is loud but hasn't spoilt our stay. The staff work hard here and the evening meals are brilliant.

We booked this hotel for the location and cheapness… we’ve now realised that sometimes cheaper is not always better. Hotel room is like a show box. Bathroom tiny, dated, shower curtain, couldn’t move on the shower. Staff were not always friendly. However Pool area, very clean Food- not great.

I am just back from a week at Hellinis along with my teenage daughter we both absolutely had a ball .. The Staff where lovely and so helpful.. room was clean and comfortable and the food was amazing I really wanted to take the chef home to Scotland .. We where all inclusive and I can not fault our stay .. On our last night there was an out of order Brit who was dealt with very professionally.. all in all I would ignore bad reviews and go for it unless you expect chicken nuggets and pizza .. food is beautifully presented and Greek as it should be 💕💕

Just returned home from this hotel, I didn’t read the reviews before we booked but a friend who was travelling with me found some so I was expecting the hotel to be a lot worse, * close to Corfu sites * regular bus service into town * rooms a little outdated (could do with refurbishing) *sadly food was a let down (cooked but served cold) probably just needed the hot plate turning on *beds are very firm and a little uncomfortable • pool was clean and maintained well • rooms cleaned every day • fresh towels daily • showers are very small (as is bathroom) • staff are friendly and helpful Over all we had a fab stay but probably wouldn’t return to this hotel again, as they say it’s the company you’re with that makes a holiday not the hotel.

Well what can I say about it the room was basically a cupboard and not very clean and the whole hotel is very tired the only thing positive is that the food was reasonable and the chef was a nice guy the two female receptionists were nice and friendly but the male didn’t even say hello and from day one there was trouble every night and nothing seemed to be done about it,if you want a nice relaxing holiday this is not the place for you we made the most of a bad joke and got on with it but definitely would not recommend to anyone as we definitely will not be going back

absolutely terrible, never again. dirty, noisy, ignorant staff. full of kid’s football teams. no pool open due to hundreds of kids staying. horrible place. advice. so called lobby full of roaring teenage boys till 2/3 in the morning. hellhole more like
