Sunset Inn Kenora

I’d like to start with abit of positivity and say I’m grateful they had a room available and they were able to accommodate me. I booked late as I thought I could make it back to Winnipeg but was it was late and decided I needed to sleep. $180 for a room that was in pure disarray, broken door transitions, laminate was buckled and heaving, door wouldn’t close properly, paper thin walls. Just nasty. I didn’t even want to sleep there, I’m not usually one to complain but next time I’ll opt to drive the extra 3 hours home.

I was so disappointed that the pool and waterslide was already closed. But the signboard is still there! The internet was very bad! It doesn’t reach into our room! Just booked somewhere else with free breakfast! The money I paid $198 not worth it! I won’t book again to this hotel! Sad experience

Good nothing hôtel great but restaurant was very poor. Service slow and place very noisy. Food of poor quality for the price. If I was to return I would eat out Receptionist was very helpful with the tv .

We were grateful to find a room and rest after a long haul day. The young lady on the desk was great. Security is present and watching over your vehicle and trailer. Very positive. The balance of this review is not. The stairway to our room littered with garbage and ciggy butts. The room was dirty and pulling back the sheets found hair. We wondered if this was going to be our encounter with bed bugs? We slept in our clothes for safe measure if there is such a thing. McDonalds is next door and found nice people and coffee to kick start our day. Days Inn Kenora needs to do better. No excuses for such poor expectations. Thanks to desk staff again.

Awful, just smelled bad and the overall cleanliness was not there! This hotel needs updates. As soon as I walked down the hallway the carpets were filthy and there was a hole in the wall! The room and hallways had a very bad order! Not sure if it’s just the area, but just smelly! The room was not very clean. The ceiling in the bathroom was peeling, the tub had hair in it. The pillow case had hairs and just felt like the sheets maybe were not changed! Just not a good experience!

We stayed for one night to attend an event in Kenora. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The bed was so comfy, I was disappointed with my bed when I got home. The pool wasn't working and no breakfast in the morning, but that wasn't a problem. We did not have time to go swimming ,and there were a few fast food restaurants a short walk away.
