Kelimutu Crater Lakes Ecolodge

Simple bungalows in stunning surroundigs. Highlight was the tour to Kelimutu Craterlakes with Patris our local guide from the Hotel. He is a really nice person, good informed and a good guide. Additional he works in the reception and speeks good English. We stayed for 3 days and it was a wonderful stay. Sylvia and Rudolf

This is the best hotel available to visit the Kelimutu crater lakes. It offers simple rooms but the bed was comfortable and there was hot water in the shower. Wif fi was only available at reception. There is a limited menu but the food was tasty. We had a stunning view from the terrace outside our room and enjoyed the attractive gardens.

(+) - near to Kelimutu - Next to a river - There is a restaurant serving food within the lodge, not bad (-) - Due to its high altitude, the room is quite moist, affecting the bed and towel. - Wifi not provided in the bedroom, need to go to the main office to use the wifi

Our very positive experience with Ecolodge Kelimutu started at Ende airport. We had asked for an airport pickup. Mr. Pang was waiting for us with his spotless and immaculately maintained car. He drove so well! The 1.5 to 2 hour journey from the airport to the lodge was thoroughly enjoyable as Pang stopped periodically at picturesque spots and titbits of information about the place. On arrival, Mr. Patris was at hand to help with everything from check-in, to guiding us on the paths to take around the cottages. A family of 5, we had 2 adjoining rooms at a villa at the top of the hill. Lovely garden paths bring you to the cottage, and the views from there are superb. Rooms are spacious, with many lounge chairs outside. Comfortable beds, hot water, mosquito nets - all in place. At the restaurant, Ms. Margarita and the rest of the kitchen team made us good meals - we ate lunch and dinner there. Lovely paths to explore around the villas, leading down to the river, with many photo ops. We had also booked our tour of the crater lakes through Ecolodges. We had a wake up call early in the morning (3:45 am), were driven to the national park (got there by 4:30), and had a wonderful experience of sunrise over the lakes, with Patris accompanying us for the walk in the dark to the mountain top. Though we spent only 1 night, the experience was memorable and highly recommended.

Un peu à l'écart de la ville et de ses bruits. Nous avions une chambre en hauteur, offrant un panorama magnifique de beauté et de calme. La chambre est vaste, joliment aménagée, dotée d'une bonne literie. Regrettons que la salle de bain, vraiment rudimentaire, ne soit pas du même niveau. Propreté indéniable. Le restaurant est de bonne tenue, la carte plutôt variée et la nourriture de bonne qualité. Pas de wifi hors de l'accueil. Mais lorsqu'on vient à Florès, on en accepte le mode de vie un peu décalé ! Excellent accueil, personnel attentif et agréable. Une bonne adresse dans cette région. Encore merci.
