"It was really pricey because of the holiday, but the interior design totally made up for it; the ambiance is great. However, I have to point out two things: 1. This is the most expensive hotel in the whole scenic area, yet there's no dedicated parking. Finding a spot was a nightmare (it's best to contact the front desk beforehand and ask them to open the back gate). 2. They seem to be understaffed, and some employees' service attitude was just so-so (though the guy at the door when we checked out was very good). And the person who showed us to our room didn't offer to help with our luggage once – it was quite annoying 😑. 3. The carpet in the elevator looked a bit cheap and ruined the designer's consistent style. I hope they'll replace it."

"Discovered a new hotel in Kaiping crafted from millions of old bricks, a true gem blending Chinese and Western architectural art. I've stayed in several modern B&Bs converted from old arcade houses and watchtowers, but due to the constraints of the original structures, the spaces in those B&Bs were mostly cramped. This Qiao Xiaoguan, however, is much more spacious and grand. The interior design appears to be European, leaning towards French style, and you can tell the designer put a lot of thought into it. Both the indoor and outdoor facilities are brand new, and the hygiene is impeccable. The air conditioning is very powerful. The overall living experience is excellent, suitable for both families and business travelers. The staff are kind and friendly. If I had to find one drawback, it would be the lack of charging stations in the parking garage."
