"A Little Gem of a hotel situated down a side street and right on the beach. Calm, relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. We had room 102 and although it was a basement room it was in no way dark or dingy, we picked this room because of the seperate private terrace. It was spotless and cleaned every day. At this time of the year (April) it was very quiet but I can't see it being noisy even at the height of the season. Great value for the price we paid. The service was excellent, friendly, efficient and helpful at all times. I would recommend Hotel Rivamare to anyone seeking a no-frills, basic, clean, friendly, family run hotel. We had a lovely time and hope to return in September!"

"WE WERE ATTRACTED BY THE CENTRAL POSITION OF THE HOTEL AND BY THE FACT THAT IT IS A FOUR STAR HOTEL, IN ORDER TO VISIT ISCHIA WE DECIDED TO BEAR THE COST OF 300 EUROS PER NIGHT FOR A DOUBLE ROOM WITH HALF BOARD. UNFORTUNATELY WE WERE NEGATIVELY SURPRISED BY THE POORNESS OF THE SERVICES PROVIDED. THERE ARE NO AGREEMENTS WITH BEACHES AND/OR THERMAL PARKS. THE POOL IS REALLY SMALL AND NEEDS IMMEDIATE DISINFESTATION, MOSQUITOES AND FLIES OVERPOPULATE AND PROLIFERATE FREELY IN THAT AREA. THE DINNER IS POOR, THE QUALITY NOT OF THE BEST, IT WOULD BE ENOUGH TO THROW A LITTLE SMOKE IN THE EYES OF THE CUSTOMERS, STRENGTHENING IT WITH AT LEAST A BUFFET OF VEGETABLES, SINCE THE POLICY OF SAVINGS MAINLY APPLIES IN THIS STRUCTURE. THE SERVICE AT THE TABLES IS VERY SLOW, IN THESE TERMS IT HAS BEEN DEMONSTRATED THAT DINNER UNFORTUNATELY IS NOT THE BEST. A REAL SIN, SOME MORE ATTENTION WOULD BE ENOUGH TO IMPROVE EVERYTHING WITHOUT RAISING MANAGEMENT COSTS, ALSO BECAUSE THE STRUCTURE LOOKS WELL EXTERNALLY. CLEANING IN GENERAL GOOD. WE HOPE TO RETURN TO ISCHIA SOON, BUT I DOUBT THAT WE WILL RETURN TO THIS HOTEL."

"We stayed here from 25 June to 2 July and had a lovely stay. Everyone at the hotel was very kind and welcoming, from the reception to the kitchen and housekeeping staff. During our stay, our daughter celebrated her 7th birthday. We never mentioned it to the staff, so it was a lovely surprise when one of them brought her a small dessert with a birthday candle. We had an early morning excursion that day and were in a hurry, so some of us had already left breakfast when the dessert arrived. Our daughter took it with her and enjoyed it on the way. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and she still remembers it. Thank you for your kindness ❤️"

"Absolutely lovely, spotlessly clean hotel. The staff were amazing from the receptionists to the lovely lady who cleaned our room every day. The location was beautiful being right on the front and close to numerous restaurants. The thermal pool was lovely and there were plenty of sun loungers. Breakfast was absolutely fine, a wide variety and dinner was also very good with a huge buffet antipasto followed by pasta dish, meat/fish dish and dessert. Thoroughly recommend"

The only flaw is the location of the hotel which is located on a nice climb from the center of Ischia Porto, which if done on foot is quite tiring, otherwise you have to wait for the hotel shuttle or bus 13, with quite long waiting times"

This was a single room and I really liked how authentic it was which I felt, matched the style of Ischia perfectly! The room was always spotless as it was cleaned daily by a lovely, friendly cleaner. I always felt safe and comfortable here and it was good to have such a nice person at reception who was so helpful and always had a chat with me :) For me the character of the hotel made it and my favourite part was the garden with gorgeous flowers and plants and areas to sit. I couldn’t believe how close the hotel was to beaches, shops, restaurants, cafes etc and this combined with the friendly community of Ischia for me, made it the most perfect place to stay! Everything in your room you need: refrigerator, hair dryer, espresso maker, juices and waters which are replenished every day, bedrooms made up every day with clean sheets. It is a very short bus or taxi from Naples ferry or walk as we did. Great location for the castle and ferry as well as restaurants and supermarket. Can’t say enough how much we enjoyed it."
