"THe hotel is dated - it would be nice to look old on the outside and up to date on the inside. It was hard to figure out how to turn on the AC - glad it worked though. Location is good, but the problem is parking - you cannot park on the street - had to park about 10-12 minute away, in a public parking. Breakfast is surprisingly good, with several options to choose from. The extra bed was flimsy, with the wood springs falling twice. Not a lot of space in the room - but, in a way, expected in Europe (especially coming from US). It would be good for the people upfront to share all the options and restrictions when it comes to parking. The lady in the morning included my car in the system, because you can get a ticket even by entering the restricted area."

"A Hidden Gem Near Florence’s Main train station I stayed three consecutive nights at this charming little hotel, just a short walk (5 mins) from the main train station in Florence. Its location made it incredibly easy to take day trips to nearby cities—perfect for exploring Tuscany without the hassle. The staff were consistently friendly, and helpful, which made the stay even more pleasant. While the room wasn’t very spacious, the bed was exceptionally comfortable—ideal after long days of sightseeing. TTom loves to travelMe and my partner stayed 3 nights in the hotel, we had forgotten a travel adapter and the staff were so kind and gave one to us. The staff all went above and beyond especially the receptionist Valentina. Breakfast was great, just what you need to start the day. Bed was super comfortable and the shower was great. It was extremely convenient to walk from the hotel to everywhere in Florence, and right next to Santa Maria Novella station. We visited in December and were happy to have hearing in the room. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible. Check-in & First Impressions The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect. One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues. Room & Comfort I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning. The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily. One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. Su amabilidad y su atención: excepcional, el que tenga piscina, aunque sea pequeñita, para darse un chapuzón sobre todo en verano, con el calor que hace, es un punto importante a tener en cuenta, y aunque he leído que no avisan de que no tiene ascensor y que muchos casos, como a nosotros, te mandan al segundo piso con muchos escalones, es cierto, pero también ellos te suben y te bajan las maletas.
