Talayar Valley Bungalow

Beautiful bunglow with four large bed rooms similar to a 5 star hotel with all amenities. We stayed there from 6 th to 8 th of this month. Staff are very courteous and food was excellent. Surrounding sceneries are breathtaking and totally we enjoyed our stay. Will definitely recommend to our friends and family contacts. D. Jayabal. Coimbatore-

Once I zeroed in the option of mountain stay at Munnar , my choice was one and only Briar . We had been to Briar properties in Valparai twice , Sirukundra and Stanmore . My choice never left my family dissatisfied even for a while . Mr John and his staff treated us like royal guest and served us delicious meals .The chef from Theni would go the extra mile to serve a wholesome platter with mouth watering delicacies. My praise for Mr John would be overwhelming as he took all efforts to make our stay very very pleasant . He treated us like his family member and took us on a plantation trek and factory visit besides an enjoyable time at the riverside . In a nutshell , our stay at Talayar Valley Bungalow was a bliss.

We stayed in Talayar Valley Bungalow between May 21 and 24, 2024. The bungalow is on a small hillock in the valley amidst tea gardens and surrounded by huge mountains on all sides. The stay was great, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The ambience, facilities and service were exceptional. It gives you the experience of a European setting. The way we were taken care by the team further enhanced our experience. The fun of playing Chess and carom with family members, relaxing in the lawn and the garden in the evening with tea and snacks being served was an amazing experience. A few more indoor games for kids and the grown up would be helpful especially when it is raining and going out is not feasible. The walk ***** the tea garden and the trek to the tea factory were wonderful experiences. John, in-charge for the facility, walking with us and narrating the background of the estate, and how tea was brought to India was really an enriching experience. John was really courteous, kind and empathetic. Prabu and Siva (Chefs) ensured that we had delicious food. Raj, Mothi, Rajiv, Deepak and Deep provided us with whatever we wanted, and stood by the dining table serving food for us with love and affection. It is a very safe place (we stayed there with two grown up daughters staying in a separate suite). Our stay refreshed and energised us to face things that were waiting for us at our home and workplace. We had a memorable experience!

We stayed at this property for 3 nights in the magnolia suite. The property had an old world charm and was away from crowded Munnar. The furniture and furnishings are due for some renovation though. The views from the property and the walks just outside were fantastic! The hospitality extended to us by the staff was great. From Vaishali at the booking desk to Jayesh the manager, John at the property and the cook Prabhu. They were all very polite and friendly and accommodated all our requests with a smile. The food was great. This is a great place if you want a break from the city and want some calm and quiet close to nature!

We had booked the Talayar Valley bungalow for 2 N/3D for our family at Munnar and enjoyed the stay very much. Right from Mr. Jayesh who coordinated our booking to Mr. John who kept us busy with small treks and the Tea factory visit it was enjoyable all the way. The Chef Mr. Prabhu and his colleague Mr. Shiva kept our taste buds satisfied with their culinary expertise. The view from the bungalow is very scenic and the decor of all the rooms has an antique look taking us back to the British era. I would recommend this place very much to anyone who wants to have an exclusive get together for the family at Munnar without the usual holiday crowd.

Fantastic family stay at Talayar Bunglow, great team of very polite staff, very well led by Mr Jayesh. Great rooms, unparalleled views Clean property Some maintenance can be better but overall no complaints what so ever. Highly recommended for a family vacation
