Ten-yu at Hakone Kowakien is a luxurious escape nestled in nature. The private onsen in every room, featuring Shigaraki-yaki bathtubs, is pure bliss. The infinity onsen on the 6th floor offers breathtaking views, especially at sunset. We loved the teppanyaki dinner at the historic Guest House, a true culinary experience. The serene valley garden is perfect for a relaxing stroll. The staff was attentive and the overall atmosphere was incredibly tranquil. Highly recommend for a rejuvenating getaway! Don't miss the delicious sashimi and crab for breakfast!

For me, the food is great, fit portions, while my partner thought the breakfast time was too early and affected the appetite for food. The location is great, it’s convenient. The environment is relaxing and quiet, the staffs are nice and good hospitality. We wish to visit again and stay longer as we both enjoy the hot spring days

Excellent service! It was very crowded at check in but the friendly staff greeted us and sat us down at sofa, also directed us to welcome drinks and snacks. It was a bit hard to find driving to the hotel after sunset as it was tugged away in a small street. 5 minutes drive from Gora station, 7 min to Open Air Museum, and 15 min to 大涌谷 volcanic steam vent. The in room private onsen was great!! Public bath was a little disappointing, it’s quite small and co-ed, usage so we need to wear swim suits which felt a little awkward.

All I can say is I’m super love the hotel! Very convenient, near the hakone ropeway, near the pirate ship! There is also private and public Onsen. Super love their buffet dinner and buffet breakfast! Highly recommend people and my friends to go! Will revisit again :))

Great hotel. Service and amenities amazing (except no gym). Thought the rooms was well designed to provide good rest. In my opinion the breakfast was the star. Top Notch!! All in all great experience.

It is one of the best hotel ever visited, the location is great, near to Gora station, direct bus to Gotemba premium outlet, the room is nice and clean with personal onsen, there are 3 private onsen can be used freely if available. There are even hand grind coffee equipment in the room for you to make coffee. Snack, drink, beer and all beverages are free. Their breakfast and dinner are outstanding, the dinner is 8 course cuisine, take almost 2 hours to complete. Highly recommended. Of course all the services come with a price of almost 40000 yen per person per day, but is really worth it. Will stay in the hotel again if revisit Hakone.

Great service provided by hotel okada , staffs was friendly and helpful , provided useful information of hotel hot springs bath facilities and restaurants for customer , transport service provided for traveling between hakone Yumoto train station and hotel for customer accessible to day tour around the region , highly recommended for a great holidays experience.

If you have time at night, you can go to the hotel B1 History Museum to see the hotel’s history, including the hotel’s early development history, managers of successive generations, and the process of earthquake reconstruction, etc. The hotel should be the first hotel in Hakone to receive Western tourists. Many Western celebrities, politicians, and scientists have stayed in the hotel in history. The hotel itself is also a microcosm and witness of Japan’s history of opening up to the outside world. 3. Hot spring: On the top floor, the space is large and the facilities are good. Because we went there in winter, there were not many people, and it was basically a private hot spring. After playing all day, it was very comfortable to soak in a hot spring at night to relieve the cold and fatigue. Overall: Choosing this hotel is definitely not only about the facilities and location, but also about its cultural atmosphere. The garden behind the hotel is very large, and it may be more beautiful in summer. Unfortunately, we went there in winter and the flowers were not in bloom. There is also a hiking trail to Mount Asama. If you have time, you can walk around more and feel the cultural atmosphere here

It's near Hakonemachi port and the bus terminal of line H. The room is large with a high ceiling and lake view. The washroom is a bit old fashioned. There is a French restaurant, a teppanyaki restaurant and a casual bar restaurant. Car park in front of the hotel.

The best thing is the service! The decoration style is relatively modern, not very old-fashioned, you can communicate in English (many hotel communication is quite annoying), you can take the subway to Odawara Station, you will send an email before the trip, and the food is ordinary, not amazing.
