West Longridge Manor B&B

West Longridge Manor is just the most wonderful place I have ever stayed in this country. Robert is fabulous, a real character and very talented. His cakes and breakfasts are divine. The Manor is just beautiful, he has furnished it with style, it’s so comfortable with comfortable beds and luxury bed linen. The bathrooms are beautiful and stocked with Molten Brown toiletries. Just about a mile off the A1 but quiet and peaceful. Lots of lovely places to visit within a short distance, we went to Kelso, St Abbs, Eyemouth and Holy Island. Don’t hesitate to book here it’s definitely worth every penny!

If you want a piece of luxury and a warm friendly welcome, this is the place. Set just off the A1 but so quiet and peaceful. We were welcomed by Robert,the owner of this stunning Georgian style house. He is such a nice fella and we were given a hot drink and a piece of homemade cake. The room was magnificent with such attention to detail. The bathroom was beautiful with a roll top bath to chill and relax in. The toiletries were all Molton Brown, no expense spared. You can see from the whole atmosphere of the place that Robert has put so much into this house and the business. He literally is a one man band. He cooks breakfast to an extremely high standard. Allsorts of goodies available such as homemade soda bread,scones,fresh local honey, omelette with your own choice of filling, yogurts,fruit,cereal,toast,fresh juice,and a full English with tea and coffee. All freshly made to order and hot. The whole house is clean and tea coffee making facilities in the room are replenished daily. A piece of luxury at an affordable price. Would definitely stay here again

We feel incredibly lucky to have "found" this gem of a place. We had a wonderful two night bed and breakfast stay at West Longridge Manor staying in the "Cheviot " ensuite bedroom. The room was beautifully furnished , impeccably clean and the attention to detail was exquisite. Upon arrival we were greeted by Robert the owner/host of this wonderful place. We were shown to our room then invited into the dining room for a warm drink and a delicious slice of homemade Victoria sandwich cake served in beautiful china with the added luxury of a freshly laundered linen napkin. It felt like stepping back into a bygone era where such a simple pleasure was a celebration of the senses. Breakfast was fabulous. Fresh fruit, cereal a selection of homemade breads, freshly baked scones and juices adorned the breakfast buffet. Tea and coffee were served along with a varied choice of freshly prepared cooked foods which if required were selected the previous evening along with your requested time for breakfast. I can highly recommend the leek fritters topped with eggs poached to perfection with a dash of sweet chilli sauce (optional). Ideally situation to explore the surrounding areas, West Longridge Manor truly is a remarkable place. We will definitely be returning.

Wonderful friendly host and accommodation. Robert, the owner greeted us with coffee and home-made cake. The Manor House has been lavishly decorated by Robert with opulent furnishings. Our room had a huge comfortable bed and in the big bathroom I made use of the luxuriously deep roll top bath. There was a great choice of breakfasts made with good quality food, we had delicious pork and apple sausages and creamy scrambled eggs! All served with different types of home-made bread and scones on a table laid with linen cover and napkins, silver cutlery and china plates. Generous and unique sums up this house and Robert. My husband and I only stayed two nights before returning to our Scottish home but I hope we can stay longer the next time.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at this great property just a few miles outside of Berwick. The host Robert was very welcoming and treated us to tea and cake on arrival. The room was very spacious with a very comfy bed and the whole house was extravagantly decorated. Breakfast was incredible with a varied menu and served promptly by our host. Would highly recommend and looking forward to staying here again.

West Longridge Manor is a beautiful house. The attention to detail is faultless. Robert, the owner, made us feel so welcome. Our room was beautiful with all the accessories you would need and it had such a comfy bed. Our breakfast was great and really set us up for the day. Would have no hesitation in returning.
