I never have this issue with other hotels. The breakfast buffet can be better, but it is decent."

"Last week, my family and I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel for four nights, but I don't think it was of a five-star hotel standard. About the condition of the rooms 1. No welcome drink provided 2. No toothbrushes provided 3. The smell of the rooms was different from other Marriott hotels About the front desk's response 1. The Marriott card wasn't linked at check-in. *When I asked for cleaning, I asked the front desk again to link my Marriott card. 2. Only the first day of my four nights was cleaned. I made a point of asking for cleaning, but they never came. When I complained to the front desk again, they said they would give me 1,000 points for the amount not cleaned. *I never received them. About the equipment problems 1. The water pressure in the shower was low. 2. The water temperature was not stable. Others 1. We booked a room with breakfast included, but the hotel ended up giving us four meal vouchers worth $25 each. *The cheapest breakfast in the restaurant on the first floor was around $20, so it wasn't enough for our family of three. 2. We were also forced to spend at least $48 at the hotel every day."

Kami menginap selama tujuh hari bersama anak kecil dan kerabat lanjut usia kami. Pertama, lokasinya bagus, tetapi tidak tepat di sebelah laut; kami harus berjalan agak jauh. Kedua, mereka mulai mempersulit kami sejak proses check-in. Kami tiba sekitar pukul 12:30 siang, dan mereka bersikeras kamar belum siap kecuali kami membayar tambahan $250 per hari. Jadi kami menunggu, tetapi pada pukul 2:00 siang, anak-anak sudah kelelahan akibat perbedaan waktu dan saya bertanya apakah kami bisa check-in lebih awal dengan memberikan tip (saat itu sudah lewat pukul 2 siang). "Great location just a couple minutes walk to the beach. Generally good experience although the property is slightly worn and food options, while okay, were limited. Biggest problem was the WiFi. It was very erratic, dropping out repeatedly which was frustrating and annoying. I was told they had just upgraded the Wi-Fi but it was one of the poorer major hotel chain Wi-Fi connections I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. It was also slightly irritating that they couldn’t extend my checkout, even for 1/2 hour without charging me a half day room rate."

"Good location at the beginning of Waikiki- close enough to everything without being in the midst of touristy chaos.  Amenities decent- nothing too fancy but all the basic amenities covered.  (Pool✅, gym✅, sauna✅- steam room was out of order) missing a jacuzzi & would have liked extended pool hours- but really enjoyed our time there- free excellent first come, first served- cabana options ,and  complimentary ice cakes.  Staff was friendly & helpful- despite an initial awkward check in experience.  Breakfast buffet-(Cafe 410)  good choices, attentive staff. Recommend going early to beat the loud & large crowds. Elevators were like a roller coaster ride and zipped us up to our room and down to lobby in a flash.  The water bottle check in gift was a nice and appreciated touch. (Just wished that ice machines were on every floor) Signature Steak House- pricey but worth every dollar!!  Very elegant/classy atmosphere - though kind of looser on the dress code than expected.  Steak melts in your  mouth- light, flavorful- perfect!  Best.Damned.Steak.Ever!!  Really set the bar and forever ruined all other steaks in comparison!!! Overall , very nice Kamaaina couple staycation. Only complaint would be the horrible mattresses!! (So uncomfortable that we had a hard time sleeping and woke daily with sore backs- and that there wasn’t free Kamaaina parking."
