It’s okay to stay for a night to catch early ferry to Dublin. Location is around 15 minutes walk from railway terminal. Staff are friendly and helpful and arrange a taxi for us to go to the station early in the morning.

It was much closer than I expected to the station and harbour than I expected. I went for paddle steamer trip to Liverpool. Their breakfast was just what I wanted. The bedroom and shower room were perfect.

The Travelodge itself was ok, could have done with new sheets in my room as there were stains on them. The worst thing for me was the area, absolutely horrible and I didn't like leaving my car in the carpark incase it was broken into. Definitely will never go there again

Arrived into Holyhead at 2am. We had booked a room with Travelodge. When we arrived, we were told that they had overbooked and there was nothing that they could do. We ended up sleeping in the car…. disgraceful and terrible customer service. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. Consolation for the inconvenience was a free £5 breakfast… if I could give this less than 1* I would

It’s a Travelodge — and it delivers on the promise. A reasonable room at a reasonable price. The room was typical Travelodge: fairly large for a UK hotel room, efficient, durable, and clean. I think most of their guests are people heading to or arriving from Ireland. The car park is good, and access to the hotel area is key-card controlled. We rarely saw anyone at reception after checking in — but that’s fine; it’s a good place to sleep: quiet and clean. On check-in, the receptionist recommended the “Holland Inn” pub — a place that has awarded itself “Pub of the Year” honours for several years running. They continue to rate themselves exceptional on social media. I suspect we must have inadvertently offended the receptionist somehow, and this was her subtle revenge! After a very brief, off-putting, and underwhelming visit to the Holland Inn, a local, Dillen — who owns the convenience store a few hundred metres up the road — turned our evening around completely. Not only did he recommend the Standing Stones pub, he actually drove us there and dropped us off. Such is Holyhead hospitality. The Standing Stones is about a half-kilometre walk from the hotel — and it’s definitely the place to go. We spoke with quite a few locals during our visit, and in general — with the exception of some we met at the Holland Inn — they’re lovely people.

Hotel located opposite side of road from port so ideal if using that. No restaurant on site and only breakfast box available next morning. Small town so limited places to eat , mostly just takeaways especially on a Sunday night so if looking for a good meal eat before you get there. If just using it for a bed before catching a ferry then ideal

As expected, but don’t order breakfast unless you’re a big fan of cornflakes and water. I would loved a cup of coffee.

Costly, considering drip in bathroom, very hazardous, danger of slipping in first room, in second bathroom no hand soap, no shower gel and towels were coarse and old. Previous visits were cheaper , more comfortable and friendly.

Clean , quiet, handy for town and church. Wild pubs..... sedate pubs ..... great bakery down street over the bridge as is cheap supermarket ......down the road to the marina and maritime museum . Cleaning ladies a right laugh and they have these frisbee/robots hoover things . I want one.

I guessed the hotel would be basic but hopefully by paying £85 it wouldn’t be too bad. Bed was uncomfortable, no hair dryer and no shower curtain! We checked in late and checked out early so the reception wasn’t manned.

I was travelling on business to Dublin via a Ferry from Holyhead and this location was ideally located close to the terminal for my next day early start.
