It was a great stay here at Camellia Hills. It is unlike a normal hotel as one feels like you are being looked after in a private house and you are really well looked after! It’s in a wonderful location and all the staff are sweet and kind and the manager is excellent and attentive. I would really recommend a stay.

Well done to the team at Camilla Hills. Azhar and the staff were amazing, helpful and nothing was too difficult. Kids, parents, family all enjoyed the Sri Lankan hospitality. The bunglow has a modern yet rustic charm, that ensures you unwind, relax and are rejuvenated. The food was delightful. Sri Lankan milk rice or the planters breakfast were a hit. Perfect place to spend with family ahead of Christmas. Carols and the warm fireplace added a nice touch. Thanks to the entire team. Will be back again soon.

The manager is hopeless. The food is barely average, and the service is the same. Either you will have one dish in one plate without salt and the next time there would be too much. Don't stay more than 2 nights as you will get fed up with the food. The view however is excellent on a good day!

What a joy, a beautiful location, wonderful hotel, exceptional service, and superb food. The Camellia Hills was one of our favourite hotels in Sri Lanka. The staff are fantastic offering just the right amount of attention without being intrusive, the gardens are beautiful and the views memorable. It is a small hotel with very few rooms but absolutely worth the effort. They can arrange a number of different activities from visiting a tea factory to canoeing in the lake. Due to the altitude it is a little cooler than other parts of Sri Lanka which is a welcome respite from the heat. A very relaxing tranquil place to catch your breath and enjoy the scenery and great food.

You will not regret visiting this hidden gem of a hotel! What an unbelievable place, you feel as though you are staying at someone's home. The building is absolutely beautiful, but the views across Castlereigh Resevoir are simply breathtaking. We sat on the terrace each night playing cards, drinking a G&T and listening to the birds and sounds of the hills. So special. Thank you for making our time so memorable!

Had a great time here. We went for our honeymoon - the views were beautiful, the food was fantastic and the service was exceptional. We enjoyed meeting with Azhar and the rest of the team. We appreciated the tea factory tour, the canoe ride, and the waterfall lunch arranged by the hotel. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!

Our family had an absolutely fantastic time at Camellia Hills Estate near Norwood. This beautifully designed Tea Estate offers breathtaking views of the Castlereigh Reservoir—one of the most stunning we’ve seen in Sri Lanka. The staff, especially Azhar and his team, were incredibly attentive and professional, making our stay feel even more special. The family suite was perfect for the four of us, offering comfort and space. We also enjoyed exploring the nearby Pekoe Trail, which provided an incredible way to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the tea country. Overall, this was one of the best accommodations and area experiences we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend it!

Camellia Hills is a peaceful and relaxing haven with delightful staff, delicious food, good wine, and plenty of activities. (We did the cooking demonstration which was superb, canoed on the reservoir and, tomorrow, will visit a tea factory on our way back to Colombo). The views from the property are unparalleled, and the gardens are beautiful (apart from the leeches) but getting there from Kandy was quite challenging due to the traffic and narrowness of the road.

One of our favourite places in sri lanka (and we live here so have been to stay in a lot of hotels..) We came back for the second time. Beautiful location overlooking the lake, lovely rooms, delicious food, super friendly staff great with young kids, and amazing walks around. Just ideal
