"I visited Hagi City to research Yoshida Shoin and the Meiji Restoration. Overall, the local residents are very kind. The owner and staff at Tagadai are also very friendly and welcome you warmly. Haha, I would love to come back and stay here again next time. The facilities are clean, and the rooms are traditional Japanese style. It is located right behind the Hagi City Bus Terminal, so the location is convenient, and there are large supermarkets and McDonald's nearby. I highly recommend it. Thank you to the owner. > < Haha. "We stayed in a Japanese-Western room with twin beds, tatami mats, an ocean-view semi-open-air bath, and an ocean-facing Japanese-style room. The Japanese-Western room was new and spacious, more than enough for two people, so we were able to relax in comfort. The semi-open-air bath was great, so it wasn't cold even in winter. We booked the Japanese-style room just to sleep, but sleeping on a futon on the tatami was exciting and enjoyable. The futons were prepared for us at dinner time. There were two hot springs, and we were able to use the open-air bath and sauna. Amenities and a dresser were well-stocked. There was more food prepared for us at breakfast and dinner than we could eat, and both the fish and meat were delicious. The staff were very attentive, and we were able to spend a very fulfilling time. Thank you."
