One reason our family chooses Hampton Inns when we travel is the fitness rooms which, while small, usually have the minimum of exercise bike / Peloton, treadmills, and medicine balls. Unfortunately this Hampton Inn had a number of issues with the fitness room, most notably that the heat was approx. 80 degrees. The night clerk tried her best to be helpful (I was appreciative of her help), but apparently the heat in the fitness room is set to the same as the adjacent pool. That makes it almost unusable for high-cardio activity like Peloton or treadmill. - Also there were no towels in the exercise room. - The wall clock was set to the wrong time. - And the 8lb medicine ball was broken. Overall it gave the impression of a neglected facility. Which is a disappointment when that's the reason you chose this chain vs. Marriott etc. And to top it off, Hilton doesn't make it feasible to contact them -- all the communication we get from them is from "noreply" email addresses. So aside from mentioning a couple of these things to the front desk clerk, I couldn't report them more fully.
