"The hotel service was incredibly satisfying. From check-in, we had a dedicated butler who patiently explained all the hotel facilities and took care of our dinner and breakfast arrangements. However, there's no indoor bathroom in the room, so showering outdoors in colder weather would be quite challenging. On another note, it's worth mentioning that the hotel includes taxi service; you can just hop into any taxi at the station and go straight to the hotel, and they'll cover the cost."

"This hotel is very close to the train station, not in the direction of the hot spring street, but at the foot of the mountain. It's not far to walk to, but if there's no hotel shuttle bus, you can only carry your suitcases in and out of the cave. There are stairs and no elevator. I'm a little envious of the high-end hotels that pick up passengers at the door. The hotel is really old, and it's as clean as ever, no doubt. The only bright spot of the hotel is that there is a waiter who speaks Chinese. I didn't sleep well the night before. The air conditioner was very loud, and I was woken up by the train at night. There is only one indoor hot spring pool, no view, and the locker has no lock. Anyway, it's quite simple. The breakfast is not bad. There is nothing special about the hotel, and I was too lazy to take pictures. The flowers on the path along the way are beautiful, which is a plus."

"The hotel front desk staff couldn't communicate in English. Unlike some tourist hotels that primarily employ foreign workers, this hotel mainly has Japanese staff, many of whom are from neighboring Japanese cities. Local residents can enjoy the hot springs for less than 1000 yen. I arrived quite late, and thankfully, Trip.com arranged a pick-up service. It was 8 PM at Hida-Hagiwara Station, completely deserted, when I saw the hotel's dedicated car – I was so touched! I can't imagine what I would have done without it. It was snowy and freezing, and we had missed dinner. We asked the driver if he could stop at a convenience store along the way so we could buy some food, and he readily agreed. A big thank you to this hotel employee! My only complaints are: 1. The food quality was just average, and it was pretty much the same for several days, which was a bit... but if you don't book meals, the surrounding area is quite desolate with no restaurants or convenience stores. 2. It's an old hotel with no elevator, so carrying large luggage was a bit of a struggle!"

The private open-air bath was not so good, but the underground bath was good. For dinner, the grilled meat🥩 on a ceramic plate and the Houba Miso were delicious. The free alcohol drinks were also good. The Hida by-flow water mixed with water was extremely enjoyable. The orange🍊 at breakfast was very sweet and delicious. It would have been nice if they had ice cream. For the price, I would give it a passing grade. I would like to ask for more customer service. I would like to use it again. I could see a little bit of the fireworks🎇!"

Dinner was very delicious. The appetizers are beautifully arranged with steamed abalone, chrysanthemum greens appetizer, salmon roe sushi and ginkgo nuts, simmered bowls made with white miso, sashimi, sweetfish grilled with yuzu miso, and roasted Hida beef, all of which have a good taste and are light in flavor. It was easy to eat, and I left out all of it. Both the rice and red soup were delicious. I also felt comfortable in the large public bath. It's not big, but it's not crowded, so you can reserve the open-air bath for yourself, and it's a good size considering the number of rooms. I still want to use it."
