Mercure Genova San Biagio

"The location is so bad. For those traveling many cities in Europe and just stopping by Genoa, I would not recommend here. It’s too far from city center or station and very inconvenient to reach. Hotel amenities are so limited considering the is Mercure. While this may not be this hotel problem, but workers in cafeteria are discriminating against Asians. It might be common in Europe."

Hotel Palazzo Durazzo Suites

"The room was modern and comfortable. Location was the biggest drawback as it was placed in an undesirable part of town and felt dirty and unsafe to exit the hotel . Breakfast was in a lovely room but due to lack of kitchen staff , we had to forgo a cooked breakfast one morning as it was over an hours wait … there was one lovely conceige staff and one at breakfast. We would not choose this hotel in future due mainly to location"

"The hotel is not far from the train station but the road is difficult to walk. The old city is full of narrow alleys, with dangerous buildings on both sides. Small hotels can only be regarded as B&Bs and their conditions are very poor. The facilities are old and some are broken. Just stayed for two days. I tolerate it because I care about travel convenience. There were many black people around at night, and I was still scared. Wouldn't recommend staying here. The reception at the front desk was quite warm. There is no elevator and you have to carry your luggage up and down the narrow stairs."

"The hotel is beautiful, especially the restaurant. The room was small but clean, with a small balcony. The hotel is near the train station, so it can be a bit noisy at night. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. There's private parking, which was perfect for our self-driving trip."

"The hotel is clean, comfortable and particularly quiet. It has a very good paid garage that helps solve the parking problem in Genoa. It is a 2-minute walk from the sea and the beautiful Boccadasse. The paid breakfast is in agreement with a nearby bar."

"Great room in this bijou hotel very close to friends in Genova. Oscar runs a lovely hotel and is very welcoming and well decorated. I’ll be back very soon I hope. Great location for the old part of the city and exploring the Porto Antico. My room had sea view too."
