I would have loved to have given this hotel a great review, but we didn’t even get to stay and spend the night.
Firstly, upon arriving (albeit early before check in) we waited 10-15 minutes at the front desk before one of the 2 people there even acknowledged us. Instead of being greeted, we were bluntly asked “are you trying to check in? Because there won’t be rooms ready until later.” Understandable, as many staff couldn’t make it in due to inclement weather. But we were made to feel like an inconvenience for even being there.
Sadly that’s not where the problems ended. We were finally able to check in around 3pm, and almost immediately upon arriving inside of our room, we noticed that the water was not working. After speaking with the desk, we found out the entire hotel was without water!! First we were told it would be back in an hour. Then five more minutes. So we decided to go grab dinner around 6pm, assuming the water would be back by the time we returned. Upon returning at 8pm, we found out that the water still hadn’t been fixed!! That’s at least 5 hours with no working water or facilities. Now I understand that things happen outside of anyone’s control, but it is unacceptable that the hotel was not informing people of the situation or trying to make any accommodations for the inconvenience. You can’t keep a hotel open with no running water. I felt sorry for the poor front desk employee that was left alone to deal with unhappy guests while the manager left.
