The Wine Lodges by An Island Apart

This is NOT a quiet apartment at all, creaky floorboards everywhere, if staying in December you will hear the festival down the road, if unlucky enough to have the apt above occupied you will hear every conversation, shouting, running around, door banging as guests enter and leave building. We complained to management but nothing was done so last night my husband had to knock on their door at 11pm to tell them to quieten down and stop kid running around. The road is a constant flow of noise. On the plus side, great location - very spacious, but basic facilities. Will not recommend and not be returning.

My husband and I stayed in a first floor apartment which was huge with nicely decorated bedrooms and lounge. The bathroom, dining room, kitchen and laundry room were plainer but fine for our needs. It's situation was perfect, with good views of the park and very near the town and waterfront. There are also lots of restaurants only a few minutes walk away. There is underground parking too. Unfortunately the people above us weren't at all considerate and kept clattering backwards and forwards across the wooden floors, but that's the luck (or otherwise) of the draw.
