Facilities were old but well-maintained, although my room window couldn't be closed without force. Wide variety of baths to choose from, and convenient hours. Note that there is no shampoo, conditioner or body soap in guestrooms, as this is an onsen facility - all soaps and bath amenities are provided in the onsen area. Several onsite restaurants providing many food options, which made up for the lack of vegetarian-friendly options around the area."

The front desk had limited English and could not fully communicate. There are not many tourists, and overall I am very satisfied."

Although the dinner was not luxurious, the tableware used was very Kaiseki style. I went to Japan three times after the full shutdown. "The overall evaluation of the hotel is not so good, but the day-use bathing wasn't bad. It's a 5-minute walk from Isawa Onsen Station, so you can drop in for a quick visit. Day-use bathing is available from 14:00, so I went at 14:30, and there was no one there as the hotel guests had not yet checked in, so I was able to enjoy the freshly cleaned, clean changing room and bathroom all to myself. The hot spring is of high quality, flowing directly from the hotel's own source. The bath felt like a large public bath at a public inn. The cost was around 1600 yen for a bath towel with the inn's name on it, a toothbrush set, a plastic drawstring bag, and a rental bath towel."
