Hotel Capizzo

Lovely hotel with stunning views and a beautiful pool in Ischia. We had a balcony sea view room which we really loved. The hotel was clean and provided daily house keeping services. Beach towels provided free of charge. Beach close by but does require a steep walk back up to hotel. Staff were attentive and happy to help organise day trips and with how to use public transport. The only downside was that we felt the location of the hotel was a bit awkward with it being about 2km from Forio centre. You could catch a 10minute bus to Forio centre or about 30-45min to Ischia. There wasn’t much directly near the hotel. As a younger couple, we would have preferred to be closer to the action such as in Forio centre or Ischia. If you are a family or older couple, this hotel would probably be perfect though. One other thing to note is that you need to buy water as you can’t drink from the taps on the island. The hotel sells water but it is expensive. Overall, very happy with our stay and the service provided by Hotel Capizzo.

Fantastic hotel with the most amazing views on the island. Easy to get to on the bus line. Beautiful thermal pool surrounded by garden and view of the sea. I had an accident before I came to the hotel and was immobile. Vincent, the manager, was so kind. He upgraded our room to give us a private terrace with sunbeds and arranged for meals to be sent to the room. He couldn't have been more helpful and he made what was left of our holiday a pleasure.

The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way! Everyone was kind and helpful and it was a pleasure to meet everyone from the hotel Staff Team. The pool was awesome - warm thermal water, clean, with bubbes and surrounded by various types of plants and flowers. Everything very well maintained by a gardener whom I've seen everyday. Aditionally, from the pool area there was a stunning view on the sea (sunset side). Just a couple of minutes of walk there is a beach and plenty restaurants. We also lunched in the hotel's restaurant - the portions were plentiful and dishes very tasty. I will definately consider to stay at this hotel again.

We had a fabulous stay at Hotel Capizzo as a family of five (including 3 school age children) for 3 nights. The location and views were amazing. The hotel rooms, pool and gardens are very well maintained and clean. The surrounding gardens are beautiful. The hotel and gardens have a fantastic view over the bay of Citara (including the spectacular headland). We stayed in garden rooms on the ground floor with good sized outdoor terrace areas where we could sit with beautiful views across the garden to the bay and easy access to the pool. We preferred these rooms to the upstairs rooms which have a smaller balcony. The hotel is a boutique sized and the owner (Maria), the manager (Vincenzo) and his team are very welcoming, helpful and attentive. They organised restaurant bookings, taxis and discount tickets for our day out to Negombo thermal pools and beach club. Nothing was too much trouble and they genuinely wanted to make our stay on Ischia memorable. The breakfast was included and it was a reasonable buffet selection. We visited nearby in Citara the best pizza restaurant, which the hotel had booked for us We could easily walk down the hill to Citara beach (around 5-7 minute walk down 500 metres) with beach clubs and a free beach section. A very manageable 15-20 minute walk to Forio town on a good sized footpath around the edge of the coast. Forio is a charming town and has a port. Well worth our trip from Australia (Perth)! Thanks Maria and Vincenzo. From Forio port, we spent a day out with West Coast boats on a private boat charter. Our English speaking skipper, Gianluigi, was amazing and the boat was fantastic. We went to many special spots (away from crowds), to swim, relax and learn many interesting facts and history about Ischia. We also had a fabulous day out to Negombo beach club - beautiful beach and amazing gardens, pools and restaurant. We thought Negombo was superior to Poisedon, because of the extensive gardens and the beautiful bay swimming.

Wir hatten wieder einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Hotel Capizzo, das uns so gut gefällt, dass wir schon seit vielen Jahren wiederkommen. Das liegt in erster Linie an dem gastfreundlichen und hilfsbereiten Personal: Dank Raffaele, Augusto und Vincenzo war unser Aufenthalt angenehm und sie haben uns bei allen Fragen zu unserem Urlaub, Ausflügen, Restaurants etc. unterstützt. Die Besitzerin Frau Maria führt das Hotel seit vielen Jahren sehr gut. Das Capizzo ist einfach zu erreichen, von der Bushaltestelle ist es nur eine Gehminute. Die Aussicht aus den Zimmern ist unschlagbar und wir haben den schönen Thermalpool in der wunderbar gepflegten Gartenanlage sehr genossen. Außerdem ist die Lage ganz in der Nähe des Thermalparks Giardini Poseidon (etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuß) sehr praktisch für Thermalfans. Und nicht zu vergessen das Essen -- der Küchenchef zaubert Abend für Abend fantastische Mahlzeiten. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Vielen Dank an das gesamte Capizzo-Team.

Siamo stati al ristorante del hotel capizzo, ristorante la corinzia, io sono celiaca e avevamo chiesto se cucinassero senza glutine, e ci hanno risposto di si per la pasta. Ma in realtà l'unica cosa senza glutine era il pane, siccome mi sono sentita male la notte perché la pasta a quanto pare non era senza glutine anche perché era molto simile a quella dell altra ordinazione con glutine. Sconsiglio questo ristorante a persone con intolleranze e allergie siccome non sono attenti e non sono affidabili.
