Hotel Berna

Hotel Berna is a short distance from the train station and airport tram. Just a few blocks to the main market area and a 10-minute walk to the Duomo and other classic sights. Nadia and staff will make you feel at home and answer your questions. Lovely rooms, very clean and comfortable. We would stay there again, without a doubt.

We paid £1400 for a week at Hotel Berna. I agree with folk that this hotel is in a good location, albeit a less attractive part of town, but it was good for food/bars etc. I wouldnt call this a hotel, more of a B&B. It took up one floor of a building, consisting of 8/9 rooms. When you enter the floor, there is a desk, which is the reception. Alas, this desk sits directly outside Room 106. The door to Room 106 should be soundproofed as you hear every conversation at every time of day. Bed was comfortable. Road noise wasnt so bad but you generally got woken up by 7am with folk talking outside your bedroom door, and always seemed to want to talk very LOUDLY! One morning at 3am i was awoken by someone banging loudly on the entry door on 3rd floor and shouting. I was wondering what you do if you ever need assistance as there are no staff on site and no phones in the room? The room was small and not what i would expect for £1400. The bathroom was ridiculous in Room 106, way too small. You cannot sit straight on the toilet as there is a rather large/deep radiator attached to wall. The hand basin is HUGE and takes up majority of room. When you sit on toilet the hand basin is right by your face. Very pokey. If i outstretched my arms i could almost touch the other side, ridiculous.

Located on the 3rd floor with the tiniest lift on the planet. Location is excellent and the rooms are very clean. However, our room( there are only 9) was next to the reception and the poorly fitted thin door meant we would hear everything, people checking in and out. The floor above was a B&B and someone liked dragging furniture across the floor early in the morning. The shower, toilet and huge sink was a tiny corner of a tiny room. Overall, I would not recommend staying here and it wasn't value for money either.

This is excellent if you are looking very clean room with nice size and also super clean private bathroom — easy distance from the train station especially affordable for one nite only. Staff is extremely pleasant, welcoming and helpful. and NADIA saved us but helping us with luggage and ensuring it was in the lobby area so we could catch our train on time! We are super grateful. It was not loud for us, id concerned - nothing noise canceling and earplugs couldn’t smother. We didn’t have breakfast but kitchen area cute and clean. $8Euro is great. It’s just a super easy location near markets on this side of florence. I took the stairs for me was easy, there is a one person elevator 🛗 for those inclined. Thank YOU

What a delightful staff and very comfortable place to stay! The air conditioning was especially nice in the heat. And what a wonderful breakfast--so many choices! I wish we could have stayed longer. Very convenient to the train. I highly recommend.

Very convenient location for us near the station and within easy walk to local restaurants and wonderful Florence sights. Comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast, great to have a kettle and tea making facility in the room and very helpful staff. Just what we needed for our short stay.
