Hotel Ancora Urban Center

피스테라 버스 정류장과 가깝고, 등대가는 길이어서 좋았습니다. 묵시아에서 버스타고와서 체크인하고 등대가서 노을 보고 돌아오기 좋은 위치였어요. 무엇보다 좋은것은 키친이있어서 요리를 해먹을 수 있는 호텔이라는 점. 추천합니다.

Like some of reviwers have said, the room was decorated with flowers and towel-swans and there was flowers in the bathroom also. The bed had a net over it. Well, I didn't mind! It made me smile - I walked the Camino and after having some awful experiences too and after sleeping in one room and sharing toilet and shower with several people this room had a very comfy bed, nice colours, toilet and hot shower only for me and it was clean. That's all that matters! How much are you staying in your room anyway? Also, I loved the pictures in the hall - they were peacful. Breakfast was more European-style than other places I had stayed - toast, jams, butter, fruits, yogurth, pastries (not home made), juice, coffee, tea, cereals. The usual "I don't speak Spanish, they don't speak English" makes communicating a little bit hard. I thought that I booked a room with a bath but there wasn't one and I didn't remember that well did I or didn't I and I did not want to go ask because they didn't undrestand me when I was checking in and asked if there was a bath or shower and got for an answer that there is and it's very big. Probably they were talking about the bed... altough I was showing with my hands shower and bath. Oh well, didn't bother me that much anyway, that's just how the language is there. And my memory. The restaurant was quite expensive. But walking to the lighthouse is just on that road, supermercado and bars are also near. Beach is about 10-15 minutes of walking.

We first stayed in the Hotel Ancora 7 years ago and we have been made so welcome in this wonderful friendly, family hotel. It’s a fairly simple hotel, but very clean and comfortable with all rooms en suite. It has a great kitchen – absolutely delicious seafood, some of the best I have ever eaten, and a relaxed bar where we passed many hours chatting with locals, pilgrims of all nationalities coming off the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, and just watching the gentle slow world of Finisterre unfold. It’s a 5 minute walk in one direction from the beautiful port, and 5 minutes in the other direction is the stunning wild and often deserted Mare del Fora – a great place to watch the sunset. Its great value. Do go and stay here Estibaliz and Manuel (who have recently taken over the hotel from her parents) will make you extremely welcome.
