The Union Hotel

Driving thru PA and playing golf along the way I stopped in Everett, PA at the Union Hotel. This is the epitome of a small town hotel with all the charm. The room was extremely furnished well with all the amenities the modern traveler needs. It sits right on the Main Street of Everett with ample off street parking. The staff was attentive and excellent. Definitely if you are in the area this is the place to stay.

We pulled into the little town of Everett just off I76 a little later than we’d hoped. We got a late start on our trip from Philly to Pittsburgh. It seemed The Union Hotel & Restaurant might be a good rest along the way. After looking through their menu, we had hoped to make it in time for dinner. I highly recommend reading it… If it’s as good as it reads, it’s worth the trip just for dinner… and dessert. We did make it just in time to ask if we could take a couple desserts with us to our room as we checked in. (Though, check-in is a misnomer. Great communication ahead meant we were ready to settle in with no need for check-in. We knew our room was waiting for us.) They gladly prepped it for us. We really enjoyed the chocolate espresso creme brûlée and a slice of cheesecake from their own pastry chef. Don’t skip dessert. The room was a pleasure–clean, spacious, well decorated, luxurious even. From the large king brass bed with pillows to match your preference, to the fresh bathroom complete with goat milk bath bars and all the amenities you’ll need. Plus refreshments, including Kate’s organic bars, coffee, teas, a dandelion drink mix and a morning tray with fruit, fresh made pastries, and more. Thank you for this small oasis on our journey. It made the weekend!

Excellent hotel!! Restaurant food delicious. The entire Staff was very friendly. Only stayed one night but could have stayed much longer. Beautiful historic building. The room was very nice. We enjoyed sitting on the porch as well. Thank you!!

What a find (just driving through, no prior research)! Attentive service by an accommodating, professional staff, on all levels. We were there for dinner and an overnight stay. Appreciate the wine selection and perfectly prepared entrees. Room was fabulous and handsomely updated. Got in late just 15 minutes before the kitchen was to close, but all staff went out of their way to make sure this did not impact our dinner and bar orders. Next visit will be planned better...

The restaurant here is definitively sub par for what they claim to be they have a long way to go. Cold appetizers and subpar entrees compared to normal restaurants not worth the money or time go to a different town or state. Pa food is sad across the board nothing worth eating here.

My wife and I took friends out for dinner to thank them for their "being there" for us when we needed them. We also celebrated my wife's birthday. The restaurant ambiance remains awesome, the food was delicious, the service was great and my Dirty Martini was excellent. We had the special pasta dish with scallops, shrimp, and crab... it was wonderful. One of our group had the pork chop and said he would do that again. I let my "pork chop" buddy choose the wine and it was a really good Zindfandel. Two of our friends had never been to the Union Hotel and were delighted to learn of it and vowed to go there again soon. This restaurant is competitive with all the best dining spots in south central PA.

The restaurant was stellar. Great food, service and prices. They were easily able to accommodate my gluten free requests. I loved the old world charm of the restaurant / hotel. The waiter was attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We had a wonderful dinner downstairs at Mona’s. The shrimp, grits and asparagus special was out of this world. The beer on tap included several nice local brews. The bar and surroundings are beautifully renovated and comfortable. Our server was attentive and friendly, and we enjoyed talking with Randy and Mona. I look forward to returning!

What a wonderful surprise! My husband wanted to celebrate our 39th anniversary with a weekend away. He choose the Union Hotel and I'm so happy he did! The food in their restaurant is outstanding...not just good......scrumptious!!! The owner....Mona ....was so friendly! I was happy to meet her. I have to mention 2 employees that made a favorable impression on me....Jeremy (server) and Matt (bartender in the pub-Monas). Those 2 young men were so pleasant and so hardworking. The staff is marvelous, we always got a smile and a "hi" from every single one of them. Our room was top-notch, so clean and comfortable! Marble everywhere.....the bathroom featured a jacuzzi tub and golden fixtures.....all marble, of course! If you're in the area ,please stop in for the night or maybe 2 nights.....eat some fantastic food and meet some wonderful people. You won't regret it!
