Ulasan Lakshmis Hotel Ella

We stayed here for one night and it was very pleasant! The hostess and all the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. There is parking, but parking is very difficult. The slope is steep. There is no air conditioning in the room.

Nice little guest house on a small steep road. Overlooking the train station and in walking distance to Ellas main street. Room was good and good size balcony

Good little hotel. Without aircon, it was rather hot and humid inside the room. No frill.

This is a solid hotel. The staff could smile more but we encountered no problems staying here

I have to admit, we absolutely loved our stay here. The people were so accommodating and friendly. The location is on a steep hill, most cars won't make it up but walking down and up takes about 5 minutes or a tub tuk can get you there. The view is amazing and worth the walk. It's so close to the main road and close to main attractions (about 20min walk) the room was comfortable, warm, clean. The breakfast was some fruit, with eggs made according to your choice, some toast and they even let us try the coconut pancakes which were so yummy. Everything was amazing. We were so happy there and will definitely stay there again.

Service: The front desk helped us buy train tickets at the train station. Environment: On the mountain, it is recommended to take a tuktuk (350 rubles) when carrying luggage, otherwise you will have to climb the last few dozen meters (70+ degree steep slope) to the hotel, but the hotel environment is good, with a panoramic view of the mountains and small hills. Hygiene: very clean Facilities: Average, the toilet cannot be flushed

The hotel is humble and located in the mountains, at the end of a very steep slope, but close to the station and the center of Ella. The rooms have a bit poor lighting, but are clean. It is a hotel to spend the night and little else

This hotel has seen better days. Firstly there is an almost vertical inclined path to reach the hotel and almost no tuktuk or car is willing to climb this hill. Even if you want to walk up, you have to be very fit. The rooms are old, a bit shabby and have a pungent odour, especially the bathroom. No aircon. The staff were friendly and the view of the valley and Mountains from the balcony, spectacular. There are better options in Ella for the same price.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Lakshmi was very warm amd friendly and Sam was very knowledgeable about whole of Sri Lankan history, in which we were very interested. Very short walk into town (down hill). Excellent calf stretch getting back from town.

We cannot praise this place enough! Sam gets a particular mention for his warm welcome and amazing attention to detail and customer service. A wonderful man whose sense of humour we shall remember always with our trip to this beautiful part of the world . Good location too as it is a short walk from the train station and the vibrant town. Bonus being the hotel is just up the road from the best restaurant in town where you have to queue up to get in. Thank you to the team that made this two night stay truly memorable 🙏

A lovely boutique hotel in a peaceful location but just 5 minutes walk from the railway station and restaurants. Set on a hill with fabulous views from our balcony and the restaurant, we loved watching birds and other wildlife while sipping a cold beer. Our room was clean, well equipped and comfortable with a modern bathroom. The breakfasts were very good. We enjoyed chatting to Kurt, the owner, who was very friendly and helpful with local information and arranging transport. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful location within a short distance of the hustle and bustle of Ella's main street, Lakshmis Hotel is perfect. Note, the hill is quite steep and might not suit people with mobility problems but we're in our 60s and managed fine - with the added bonus of fireflies at night!

We stayed here for two nights and were very pleased with Kurt and his team. The breakfast was lovely and service tiptop. Our room had a balcony with a good view over the town. The only downside to the hotel is its accessibility as it is situated on a virtual cliff-face that even some of the local tuktuks won't attempt. Don't let this put you off, we recommend Lakshmis.

We had the best stay at Lakshmis. In the perfect location - has the most incredible view with all rooms having a balcony, the beds so comfortable, the bathrooms so modern and immaculate and just a walking distance to the Main Street. We spent a whole day just resting at the hotel because we were so comfortable. We did a cooking class and the food served at the restaurant was fantastic. Recommend highly
