We visited Edinburgh for New Years and stayed for four nights leading up to it - the hotel was beautiful and cozy and the staff were incredibly nice and accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay really special! There were so many nice little thoughtful touches throughout our time here. It was very easy to get to the city from here - and also very close and easy to hike Arthurs Seat. We would happily return here again, it was really lovely.

Nice beds and clean bathroom，kind reception services and cookies. A great experience in this hotel.

A first class stay for me so relaxing and very friendly staff never in your face but always there for you extremely helpful great hotel setup would definitely book again breakfast and lunch first class for me i

The single room was a bit small but comfortable. There are good public transport services to the city center.

Room is small (same as what was posted online) but a 32" luggage cannot be opened fully. minimal walking space in the room. Not much table space for work, location is abit far off. Didnt realise the 'distance' while booking. Lovely view from room - sneek peak of Arthur Seat, woke up with birds chirpping, pretty relaxing No aircon in the room, so need to open the window for ventilation Bathroom is small, water takes sometime to be hot and water will splash out on the floor. There was water leakage from the corner of the glass panel, which made a puddle of water after each shower. Front desk and bar service was fantastic, very friendly folks.

Great helpful staff , Room you couldn’t fault it , so close to all the sites in town , only a 1night stay , but memorable

It was an amazing experience! New, clean room in a calm and quiet campus area. You may need a taxi to travel back and forth if you have a lot of luggage, but the hotel is still within walkable distances from the city centre. Friendly and welcoming staff members and decent amenities in the room. Everything looks clean and not dusty. Even the mirrors are carefully wiped! What a hotel! I'll definitely be coming back next time in Edinburgh.

This hotel was just perfect for me. Spacious and well organised rooms with plenty of drawers to put your stuff. The only minus is that there is a narrow passage between the wall and a king-size bed, but at the same time you have a separate section in the room with a big desk, a big drawer and a cozy armchair. Everything neat and clean. Breakfast was delicious and served in style. You order by menu. All the staff was super nice. Many thanks to them for creating such a hospitable environment!

Lovely place to stay, the hotel is very clean, great shower and lots of amenities provided.

The most amazing hidden gem. Great deal for one night b&b even though it was 6 Nations rugby weekend . The room was extremely comfortable with beautifully scented locally sourced shower gels and shampoo in the immaculately presented bathroom . As for the staff …despite being extremely busy everyone we came across had a smile and helpful conversation . The receptionist even took us to the gate to guide us to the bus stop having printed off a timetable . Only 10 minutes and £2 into the city centre . £9 for taxi back so with the cost of city centre parking it’s a no brainer to use the free onsite parking . Breakfast did not disappoint either and was far from ordinary and totally delicious . Sadly there was no time to sample other meals however …I we shall be back ! Very well done .

The scholar is in a nice quiet courtyard very close to the Royal Mile. Easy walking distance to everything and has a superb breakfast buffet. Great staff, very friendly and professional, and excellent rooms. The beds are soft and the room comes with many hot drink options: tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The bathrooms were massive and very clean, showers had good pressure.

The location was not too far from the town centre , the service are very good and the breakfast was fully satisfied for us .

Great hotel and extremely comfortable in the university residence area. Best to stay outside of term time as I imagine it’ll be busy with students normally. The hotel is near Holyrood park and about 30 minutes from the Royal Mile on foot. Alternatively take bus 30 or 33 to South Bridge or Princes Street from Commonwealth Pool. It’s £2 one way and regular service. Breakfast is substantial and the staff are very helpful.
