Jimmy & Fiona were the perfect hosts, catering to our every need. Very clean room, great fresh cooked food, comfy bed. Easy to get a bus to the town from. Lovely table cloths, solid furniture and very homely surroundings. Would stay here again for sure.

The hotels is just so lovely and jimmy and Fiona could not be more helpful or friendly the rooms are clean as well as generous in size and there are lots of buses into the city centre (about 15 minutes ) also the cooked to order breakfast is top draw it won’t be our last visit to this hotel

Glenalmond House is a special place. The beautiful Victorian style resembles the charm of the city. Jimmy and Fiona are welcoming hosts who make you feel right at home. They provide thorough communication and information to help you prepare for your visit. Jimmy is also a great cook! The location is within walking distance of all the attractions and things to do in downtown Edinburgh. It is good value for a bed and breakfast in a great location.

Wow. Simply wow. We were absolutely delighted. Fiona is a wonderful host, the room immaculate, the food delicious. Jimmy was kind and personable is the bet of ways. I can not recommend this B and B enough. Our room had everything needed and more. We look forward to coming back again!

Wonderful experience, great breakfasts. Was fun to try local food. Hosts were so kind and gave excellent suggestions and tips for enjoying Edinburgh. Definitely recommend. Stayed in a family room and beds were very comfortable. Thank you!!

We were in room 4 or 5 -- a lovely, quiet room with comfortable furnishings and a private patio. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the 30 min walk to Old Town, but there's a bus stop right across the street. Lots of restaurants on the way into town (Southpour was my favorite, but also enjoyed Rigatoni's for Italian and Old Bell Inn for basic pub food and fun environment). Excellent breakfast.

Best breakfasts in Scotland! Jimmy and Fiona are fabulous. The room was lovely and comfortable. Beautiful facility. Convenient access to buses going downtown. Our interactions with Jimmy and Fiona made our stay special. We felt welcomed to Scotland and well cared for. We will always cherish the memories of our stay in the Glenalmond House!

It's in a good location on the bus route making it easy to get into town. The room was on the small side. Jimmy was helpful and attentive. Breakfasts were good, with a nice choice of foods. USB ports for charging were helpful.

We just loved staying at Glenalmond House. Fiona and Jimmy were fabulous hosts. The breakfasts were amazing, with lots of variety. They suggested the Indian restaurant across the street, which had some of the best Indian food we've ever eaten. The bed was very comfortable. You could just hop on a bus to take you to the center of town. We hope to be back someday!
