Great guest house. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Very clean. Easy self check in. Tasty and quick breakfast. Friendly hosts. House is set back with parking outside, but is on a busy main road which is a slightly negative aspect, although didnt cause any problems and it also meant that we could catch a bus to & from Edinburgh just outside & we were there in approx 20 minutes. This was really convenient.

A nice cosy place. Comfortable, practical and reasonably priced. A polite and helpful couple running it. I just wanted a place to sleep on at night while visiting family in Edingurgh. I would make this my regular place of stay while visiting Edinburgh.

Very nice place to stay, accesible to the city center by bus (few minutes walk from the guesthouse , taxi or private vehicles , very homey and very accomodating, the rooms are quite tidy , clean and nice , the staff/owners are very nice and friendly,

Wonderful stay for our family of four! The family room was the perfect size and never felt congested. The room was clean, breakfast was excellent, and the facilities were great. The hosts were cheerful and helpful, and the property is just a 3-minute walk from the bus stop, making it very convenient for city access. Highly recommend!

Lovely hosts nothing they will not do to make your stay great. Breakfast was delicious we had full Scottish and scrambled egg then next day poached egg on muffins tea coffee fresh orange all beautiful. Rooms lovely warm comfortable bed, I would like a bigger bed next time as we had a double and we use to king size but clean and slept very well, great to have carparking thanks for a great trip

First impressions excellent, well presented, great location. Decor was fresh and clean and the ambiance gave a comfortable homely feel. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a fridge, tea/coffee, wine glasses and a cinema size telly. Breakfast was top notch. There's a bus stop just across the road which gets you into town in around 10/15 mins. Far enough out to feel suburban but very close to all of the City attractions. Our hosts were exceptionally friendly even organised us a Taxi to get to the big game at Murrayfield. Fully recommend Acer Lodge.

We had a very nice, spotlessly clean room. The owner's of Acer Lodge are superb hosts and excellent communication before our stay. Public transport is easy, with all the necessary info for this in the welcome guide, supplied in the room. We only used our car once due to the ease of the various bus routes and costs of the bus are minimal. ( Day ticket £5 each ) Our worries about being so close to the busy road and noise from traffic were soon eliminated, when we closed the front door, we could hardly hear the road. Highly recommended, we will stay here again when we return to Edinburgh.
