Bastianos Bangka Dive Resort

We loved the hotel from the very beginning we were greeted at the beach. The hotel rooms are spacious and super clean, we loved the outdoor bathrooms and huge balcony we had. The hotel is bigger than the ones we usually stay and despite the fact it was fully booked during the first days of our stay it never felt crowded due to the excellent operation both on land and at sea. They have plenty of boats and guides so we never had more than 2-3 people in our group, excellent ratio and very knowledgeable guides (we had Nolfi) that make sure the dives are safe and great fun too! Guides are usually rotating between the three locations Bastianos operate their hotels. Bangka is the latest addition to their collection and a wonderful mix of Muck Dive and Corals. While we saw some damage on some of the reefs most dive were in beautiful corals and with lots of fish too! If combined with Lembeh for critters and Bunaken for currents and big stuff, you will get a wonderful combination of perfect diving in North Sulawesi! Loved it!

I spent 10 days quarantining in this beautiful resort. The resort manager Mina is great, always quickly responds to any guest requests and even was able to find me coconut oil in Manado. However, my biggest concern is amount of plastic pollution on the beach. It comes with the sea current straight to resort shore line. It needs a major clean up! Few suggestions : -ear plugs! Jungle noise sometimes is disruptive. -Mosquito spay. -Chocolate and tasty healthy snacks. -Books to read! Internet works only at the restaurant and Only on one device at a time. So for example, connecting cell phone and laptop the same time is not possible. While standard rooms are the most affordable, the biggest minus were paper thin walls! I Could hear my neighbor breath. The best choice is the separate bungalow. Number 10, 12, 14 are the closest to the router and it might have wifi. Beach front units are ok, since the beach is so filled with plastic, and trees leaves. Overall I enjoyed my stay, especially the full service part ( airport pick up& drop off, snacks, scheduling pcr tests, the staff being very accommodating to guests needs).

Wonderful resort with outstanding, extremely hard working staff. You are in a remote area so you do want to pack everything you might need. I packed an air mattress and was glad I did as I prefer a softer bed. I liked the outdoor shower and restroom. I didn't realize for 3 days that I was turning the hot water handle the wrong way on the shower, so if it's cold... try the other way. Prepare to wade in the water to get on the boat over to the island. Once at the resort, be prepared for a lot of stairs! The diving and the pool were great. Massage was limited due to masseuse injury but was available at a decent price. That needs to be pre-arranged. I don't eat fish/seafood but was always able to find plenty to eat. There's an afternoon treat around 4PM that was always delicious. The stars were really the staff. I hope to return.

We are from Bulgaria and we were a group of 8 people and we had 5 days at Banka and 5 days at Bunaken. Half of the group is with photography equipment and I want to tell you that we are impressed by Bastianos! The resorts are very nice, the food is delicious, the service is great both in the restaurant and on the boat! We had two great guides Ivan and Lan who were constantly showing all kinds of macro stuff, some very rare! I highly recommend Bastianos!

Tolles Resort! Alle Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und herzlich. Stets ein Lächeln auf den Lippen und sehr hilfsbereit. Das ganze Resort ist sehr gepflegt, die Bungalows in top Zustand. Wir hatten eines direkt am Meer und haben es sehr genossen. Tolle Sonnenuntergänge direkt vor der Nase 🤩 Das Essen wurde frisch zubereitet und hat ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Der Süsswasserpool war perfekt und hatte eine angenehme Temperatur. Die Spots zum Tauchen sind hervorragend! Ein grosses Dankeschön an das ganze Bastianos Team! 🙏🏼

Un site de plongée très différent, des autres, à ne pas manquer beaucoup plus de nuit d’branches moins de gros et toujours une équipe de divemaster au top. Un grand merci à Yeski Nous avons eu la chance de faire les trois sites de plongée proposés par Bastianos, ils sont tous les trois différents, ce qui fait qu’aucun ne doit être oublié
