"This resort is absolutely amazing! The front desk staff were all so enthusiastic and helpful. My friend and I wanted to visit the ATV park next to the hotel on our way back, and one of the staff members even enthusiastically drove us there. The room hygiene was excellent, too. Besides a few more bugs at night, everything else was perfect. The breakfast was really plentiful, with a nine-compartment platter, and you could choose between noodles or wontons. My friend and I both ate until we were stuffed (maybe we have small appetites, haha!). I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Moganshan, and I'll be recommending it to my friends."

"A hidden gem of a B&B in Xiantan Village, it looks just like something out of a Miyazaki fairy tale – so unique! We got upgraded to a dome room during the off-season, and I loved the tatami relaxation area and the balcony with breathtaking views. It would be even better if the private hot spring’s overhead cover could be removed and some small night lights added for extra ambiance! A big thank you to the thoughtful butler for their excellent care."

"Good location. And could be an amazing hotel. The original design is very stylish but needs to be renewed. The swimming pool would be lovely if some of the tiles were not broken. Our favourite part was the communal area - could play pool, sofas and tables to chill at, very cosy. Lovely view from the balconies and the bathtub. Unfortunately the bathtub plug was broken. Would also recommend giving proper towels, as the single use ones are not enough if you’re using the pool as well."

"For a room costing 1500 a night, everything from the environment to the service was a complete letdown. To reach the hotel room, I had to walk through the basement parking lot – I've never seen such a bizarre layout before. The staff looked utterly miserable, as if "don't bother me" was written all over their face. I'm a paying guest, yet I felt like I was walking on eggshells! Upon entering the room, there was a strong musty smell. The sheets and duvet felt damp, clearly indicating a lack of ventilation. The toilet and bathroom had transparent glass walls – what's the logic behind that design choice? The curtains weren't blackout, so the room was flooded with light as soon as dawn broke, making it impossible to sleep in the morning. And the small sofa in the room had visible stains; it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages! When a staff member opened the door for us, the magnetic catch was broken, so they skillfully (and shockingly) tied the door handle down with a bathrobe sleeve! Unbelievable! Is this what I paid 1500 a night for???"

"The overall environment during my stay was really poor. There was a large huntsman spider in my room, and while these spiders are known to eat cockroaches and mosquitoes, it suggests a serious pest problem, with many small insects present. I asked the front desk if they had any insect repellent, and they simply said no. It's hard to believe that a hotel located in the mountains wouldn't even have basic insect control products. The staff's professionalism in handling pests was terrible, and their efficiency was extremely low. Their response was completely amateurish. Not only did they fail to remove the spider, but they also let it hide in the room and disappear. I then had to repeatedly contact multiple supervisors to come and search, and after a long ordeal, nothing was resolved. Throughout the whole process, the staff just kept reassuring me that the spider wouldn't hurt me, completely disregarding that some guests have an innate fear of insects. They offered no practical or effective solutions from beginning to end. The entire experience was terrible, and I absolutely do not recommend this place."

This guesthouse is the only property in the area, surrounded by mountains on all sides — incredibly peaceful and quiet, far from the noise of the city. The courtyard is beautifully maintained, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious with large windows that frame lush greenery all around. No musty smell at all — just fresh, clean air. Breakfast was generous and satisfying, and the host was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. You can tell they really care about their guests."

"Overall, my stay was quite pleasant. The hotel staff were warm and attentive, and both the rooms and public areas were clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable experience. The breakfast restaurant was beautifully decorated and spacious, providing a very pleasant and elegant dining environment. The only downside was the breakfast offering itself. The variety was somewhat limited, and the dishes were rather simple and uninspired. Considering this is a Marriott brand hotel and the current room rates, the breakfast quality doesn't quite match the price, making the overall value for money a bit lacking. I'd suggest the hotel enhance its breakfast menu, perhaps by incorporating local Deqing specialties to innovate and diversify the dishes. This would better reflect the regional flavors and significantly improve both the dining quality and the guest experience."

"The location is good, close to the high-speed rail station, but the hygiene is poor. On the first night, there were leftover longan pits next to the bed, and leftover food in the refrigerator. For two consecutive nights, a garbage truck started taking out the trash downstairs at midnight, and around 3 or 4 in the morning, the upstairs or next-door neighbors started moving chairs, making so much noise that I couldn't sleep."

"The relatively (to other places in china) high prices of nearby restaurants was the only detractor from my experience with my two other friends at this hotel. We stayed in a 2-bed room (queen and single) and had plenty of space for us to open all our luggages. There was a pool too, but we didn't use it. Perhaps the best part of the stay was how friendly and helpful the host was: she recommended food, helped us to our rooms, quickly gave us another towel when we needed one, literally ordered a taxi to the Moganshan entrance for us because we were having difficulties, and even gave us a bag with 10 water bottles for free!! Also the included breakfast was yummy too! Stay here and support her small family B&B!"
