The room facilities are very good, the service staff is particularly patient and caring, especially the housekeeping department Xiao An, when we can't clean up the room and check out, help us pack all the luggage and put it at the front desk.
I offered to pack a red envelope. Thank you, Xiao An was very polite and did not accept it. Our stay experience was really good. Next time I come to Datong, I will also choose our Tongmei International Hotel!

I stayed at this point three years ago and I had a great impression. This time I stayed, I had a lot of slots in a word. I wanted to stay a few more days, but I had no choice but to leave the store the next day. I wanted to take a shower in the early morning, and there was no hot water in the shower for 15 minutes, which was unbearable! It is recommended that the boss think for five minutes. Why is the difference between the front and back stays so big.

When I started booking, I saw the praise of Starway Hotel. The evaluation said that the front desk service was warm and thoughtful. The breakfast was very rich and delicious. The variety was full. Datong cooled down. I entered the lobby. The front desk said hello and sent hot water. It was very intimate and warmed my hands. At the same time, I asked what was delicious around. The front desk introduced the surrounding specialty restaurants, which was also great. The room was upgraded for free. The parking lot was at the entrance of the hotel. GGuest UserStaying in Nanshe B&B on this trip was really the best decision I've ever made!
The location is great, close to all the attractions, and can be reached on foot, saving a lot of transportation time and money. The small courtyard of the B&B is warm and elegant, with comfortable tables and chairs. Sunbathing and daydreaming, the sense of comfort is directly maximized, and the fatigue is instantly dissipated.
The front desk staff is warm and considerate, the check-in is super fast, and they also introduced me to the surrounding fun places and delicious food in detail. The welcome fruit prepared in the mini bar is fresh and sweet, and the drinks are also super delicious, which makes people feel at home all of a sudden. The boss is even more hospitable, like an old friend who hasn't seen each other for many years, and shared a lot of local fun and niche attractions with me, which enriched my travel experience a lot.
Whether it is the location, environment or service, it is impeccable. Next time I come here, I will definitely choose here again!

GGuest UserI cannot rate Tangfang Courtyard more highly. I almost don't want to write a review and reveal it to more travellers! The photos are accurate of the elegant, beauty of this courtyard based hotel. The room was high ceilinged with wooden rafters, smart, elegant shower, bowls of fruit, spoiling bedding. It was bang in the centre of the old city, yet completely tranquil in a gorgeously authentic, but quiet street. We were greeted warmly and cosily by Yezi, who welcomed us with drinks and fruit, and really couldn't do enough for us. My son is fluent in Mandarin but I don't speak a word yet still, she was eager to help me make my dairy free coffee in the morning, quickly sorted us a great, appropriately priced driver and comfortable car to go to the hanging monastery and grottoes the next day. This is unique in that is in an authentic building, elegant, yet cosy family atmosphere with a kitchen/dining room where all guests eat round the same table. The last effort Yezi and her colleagues made was to source me some of the very striking vinegar jars unique to Datong at a moment's notice, the morning we were leaving. Bearing in the mind, this was done via Google Translate, I cannot thank you them all enough. They made our stay in Datong memorable, beyond the obvious wonders of the UNESCO sites. Thank you again to all at Tangfang Courtyard.

The bus downstairs can go directly to Huayan Temple, Shanhua Temple, Datong South Station, museums, scenic spots and meeting points. GGuest UserI did enough research before coming here and saw this B&B. I called for consultation at nearly 10 o'clock in the evening and was extremely patient in explaining. After arriving, I was not disappointed. The two children loved it. The aunt would usually lock the door, so the children could Feel free to play in the yard. When we were about to arrive, we told the time. Auntie turned on the air conditioner in advance and prepared fruit tea, which was super heart-warming. Breakfast was also extremely rich every day, and it was very cozy for the whole family to sit in the yard and eat. This B&B is right next to the commercial street. You can go shopping when you go out, but you can't hear the noise when you are in the yard. It is very close to Zini and Longjutang. It can be reached in a few minutes on foot. At night, it is just a short walk away. You can go to the city wall, admire the lights, and ride a bicycle together as a family. Huayan Temple and Shanhua Temple are also nearby and can be reached on foot. Finally, I must say that the aunties at the B&B are all super nice. They are very nice and kind in both morning and evening shifts. I will definitely recommend this to my friends and will stay here again next time.

DDzintarsThe hotel is really good and convenient. It's in a walking distance from the Ancient City and Walls, there are several small shops and local food stalls around it. The breakfast is completely Chinese style, but it's good.
The gym is very small, in fact, not even a separate room, just very few machines, but it was not that important for us.
Personnel are very helpful. Everyone did their best to make our stay comfortable. Especially, the manager Kristina - she is very kind, helpful, assisted us a lot, with some practical things and some advice, when it was necessary.
Definitely, will stay here another time.

The staff is modestly bilingual and attentive.
Good choices in Chinese restaurants about a 10 minute walk away.
Rooms are large and very clean.
Most western guests will find the internet access challenging.
The Yungang caves are a 20 minute taxi ride. Downtown’s temples are 10 minutes away.

GGeorgeI was greeted with a fruit platter during check-in, which was a wonderful welcome gesture considering I left my home about 24 hours earlier, traveling non-stop from California to Datong, China. The Inn provides a wonderful experience for the first-time foreign visitor. The interior decor has that Chinese charm consisting of artwork, a book display, an aquarium with an auspicious collection of 8 large fishes (carp, I think), in-room tea set with an on-table electric stove, which would be unique to most Westerners. The glass flooring adds an extraordinary appeal since I have never experienced that in a hotel before, and I have traveled to dozens of countries.
The Inn is well located, a short bus ride to Datong Railway Station (for non-high-speed rail travel)*, and a short taxi ride to Datong South Railway Station (for high-speed rail travel)**. It is just next to Datong City Wall. You can walk along the top of the City Wall at no cost. A 10-20 minute walk takes you to nearly all the attractions within the ancient City Wall. Here you will also find a variety of restaurants serving local food as well as souvenir shops. There is also a small shop that sells sundry items including drinks (beer included) within a 5-minute walk from the Inn. Across from this sundry shop, is a shop that specializes in ancient Chinese clothing (Hanfu dress). They can dress you up, cosmetics included.
The Inn provides directions to Yujian Yun Gang - a popular destination for travelers to Datong. Here you will see ancient Buddhist cave art, including large and tall (several stories tall) sculptures. It takes two bus rides to get there, 1RMB per ride.
My booking choice was for either a guest room on the 1st or 2nd floor but was assigned a wonderful 2nd-floor guest room.
The owners of the Inn were exceptionally friendly. I met both the mother and her daughter. My room was professionally cleaned and provided with drinking bottled water daily.
If I return to Datong in the future, I will certainly book a room at this Inn.
*I took a train from this station to travel south to Xinzhou after checking out.

AAirborn63The hotel is situated not far from the old walled town and equal distance to the shopping area. Formerly a Holiday Inn now independent.
The rooms are large and comfortable with good work desk and wifi. Comfortable bed gives good rest. The fridge had been removed but there is kettle and plenty of water, every day some fruit was delivered to the room which I appreciated.
Hotel has gym, swimming pool and two restaurant, given the price it was very good value for money and I would happily stay again.
