The location is adjacent to Daiwang Mansion, Nine Dragon Wall, and Kuixing Tower. It is not far from Huayan Temple and the famous restaurant in the ancient city, but it is quiet and easy to rest. The store is very hospitable and takes the initiative to drive to and from the high-speed rail station. The courtyard has a quiet environment and unique design. The owner has good taste, the hair dryer is from Dyson, the sheets and quilts are changed after each guest, the room is clean and tidy, and the breakfast provided is reasonable, healthy and delicious. The reception lady was very kind and made us as comfortable as we were home. The bathrooms in the rooms are very clean and the location is very convenient for traveling. I cannot rate Tangfang Courtyard more highly. I almost don't want to write a review and reveal it to more travellers! The photos are accurate of the elegant, beauty of this courtyard based hotel. The room was high ceilinged with wooden rafters, smart, elegant shower, bowls of fruit, spoiling bedding. It was bang in the centre of the old city, yet completely tranquil in a gorgeously authentic, but quiet street. We were greeted warmly and cosily by Yezi, who welcomed us with drinks and fruit, and really couldn't do enough for us. My son is fluent in Mandarin but I don't speak a word yet still, she was eager to help me make my dairy free coffee in the morning, quickly sorted us a great, appropriately priced driver and comfortable car to go to the hanging monastery and grottoes the next day. This is unique in that is in an authentic building, elegant, yet cosy family atmosphere with a kitchen/dining room where all guests eat round the same table. The last effort Yezi and her colleagues made was to source me some of the very striking vinegar jars unique to Datong at a moment's notice, the morning we were leaving. Bearing in the mind, this was done via Google Translate, I cannot thank you them all enough. They made our stay in Datong memorable, beyond the obvious wonders of the UNESCO sites. The location is convenient. It is not far from Chunyang Palace, Shanhua Temple, Huayan Temple and Drum Tower on foot. The Bronze Museum is just outside the door. It is small but beautiful. I took my children to see it carefully. The children remembered four kinds of ritual vessels, Ding (cooking), Hu (water), You (wine), Gui (grain). Ding is an odd number and Gui is an even number. The emperor has nine Dings and eight Gui, the princes have seven Dings and six Gui, the literati have five Dings and four Gui, and the Yuan Dynasty scholars have three Dings (or one Ding) and two Gui. Breakfast buns, steamed buns, millet porridge is delicious Take a bath with an electric water heater for 20 minutes, then wait 20 minutes before using it. It's OK if you're not in a hurry.

The newly renovated house is very clean. The room is underfloor heating, which is very comfortable after the heating is stopped. We are a family of three and are very satisfied.
