Hotel White Yak

Very basic hotel at walking distance to mall road. Staff was very polite and provided good service. It was difficult to find direction on Google map as vehicles can't reach here. We had to take our luggage and walk on very bad road. First impression was not very good, but staff support co****sated it.

This Hotel is located in the hub on the Mall road but one has to climb very steep steps/hilly slope to reach to the hotel. No vehicle is allowed to the hotel doorsteps. Practically impossible for senior citizens and elders. Breakfast was included in our package. We stayed for two nights. Rooms are fairly spacious and attached bathrooms are very small. There is no lift in this property. It is really a Himalayan task to get into the rooms on the higher levels after climbing so hard from the streets to reach the reception We were provided stale food for breakfast on both the days. When complained, there is no response from ***agement. It is shameful on their part to treat their own guests so badly. On the second day of our stay, we were denied to join the buffet and they served stale noodles on the table. This created nausea to all the four of us. In the meantime, a group from Gujarat was served fresh food in the buffet and we were denied to join with them for the reason best known to the ***ager. We did not had much time left with us to fight for our breakfast and had to leave towards Bagdogra to catch the flight. Will never ever visit them again nor will we recommond this property to anyone in our circle. Very bad attitude.

The staff is really good and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and had excellent breakfast and dinner. The food is really good and the food is provided in room as well so it's really convenient especially in winter

I am on the my way to see the beauty of darjeeling and also searched for good place to stay and i got it The white Yak hotel the rooms,staff and the food is really great had a great time and also staff is always humble and generous to help out the guests. Overall my experience is really great.

Hotel white yak is one of the very best hotel available in Darjeeling,all staff ***agement are very polite and co operative specially Mr.Salim Akthar he is one of the kind hearted and polite person i ever met who is ready to serv the best service possible and the view from this hotel are amazing and u can even see early morning sun rise from this hotel terrace. Note- this hotel is pure vegetarian and all the food are very tasty.

Our experiance in White Yak is so fantastic. Rooms are very clean & well maintained. We all aee enjoy room stay. Food is very delicious - testy. Over all staff is very kind, helpfull nature.
