Travelodge Milton Keynes Shenley Church

Old fashioned Travelodge but kept clean, tidy and Well maintained. Easy access to everywhere within 5 minutes, including Ikea, MK stadium, shopping etc. Located next to a great steakhouse, Miller and Carter. Great value hotel with free parking.

Lovely stay here in shenley clean comfortable rooms the hotel was kept immaculate very clean and welcoming Gladys the manager was such a lovely lady a credit to the company,all the staff I encountered always had a smile on their faces will definately be returning thanks Gladys and team

I’m writing this review at 08:26 having been woken up over 2 hours ago by noisy metal clanging and gushing water sounds, I’m in the room directly above the attached miller and carter back exit and quite frankly I wish I’d asked to swap rooms last night. (Work will not be fun today after a terrible 5 hours of sleep) The restaurant staff take breaks outback until around 11pm with continuous loud chatter, clanging and banging, it starts again at 6am when I’m assuming cleaners or early staff start arriving. Do not stay in room 233 (or I imagine 231 which will be similar) as even with the window closed the noise levels are unreal. I am absolutely exhausted. The whole hotel is pretty bad sound wise, I can hear at least one conversation which sounds like it’s from the room opposite and I noticed down the corridors there was so much noise bleed from the rooms. It’s a real shame because decor wise this is one of the nicest and most peaceful looking traveldoges I’ve stayed in. It seems to be in a quiet location, the room itself is lovely, the dark blue walls are so calming and the new furniture is much nicer than the red leatherette chair most have. Even the ombré blue to white shower curtain looks much nicer in the bathroom. I was so pleased when I saw this room, I just wish I could sleep!

Hani was amazing and went above and beyond to ensue I was comfortable and made my stay a lot more memorable. Amazing and warm person with a keen attention to detail on customer satisfaction. I would most definitely be coming back to visit this hotel.

Checked in by Hani polite, professional very friendly a credit to yourselves made the stay a lot more enjoyable! Very knowledgeable on where the local convinces are and pointed me in the rite direction

Upon my arrival I was greeted by Gladys who was really lovely, had a long drive there and she still managed to get a good laugh out of me. I had a fabulous stay, all round great experience. Upon leaving, Hani was kind to find out if I enjoyed my stay. Shared a million laughs again. Really appreciated the staff’s generosity throughout. Sadly I didn’t get her name but the night staff was also accommodating with making sure I had the correct batteries for my remote! Had another good laugh! Would definitely come back again 🫢😆

Shelby on reception was extremely welcoming and friendly! Couldn't do enough for us. Even gave recommendations on where was best to go drinking in the town center. The area was nice and the hotel overall very clean and pleasant but would come back again just fir the staff alone

The lodge itself was very nice and the young lady on reception couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We'd booked an accessible room as my daughter has arthritis and I'm limited in my mobility. We were pleased to know there was a wet room but there were a few issues. Firstly, the floor, once wet, was not slip proof and I felt quite unsafe during my shower. Secondly, the handrails were fine when dry, but as soon as they got wet, they were slippery. The ridged ones would be much better for grip. Thirdly, nearly the whole floor was covered in water, despite else being careful and pulling the curtains. So once I turned the shower off and attempted to move to a dry spot, it was quite awkward to find one. Hopefully Travelodge can address these and then it would be a 10 out of 10.
