Hotel with privileged location and very pleasant and friendly staff. Very cozy rooms. To repeat for sure.

For 4 stars, it was far below expectations, especially the breakfast part. Very weak.

This Hotel is part of the LAM Hotel group, it’s perched on an isolated mountainside above Covilha on the edge of the Sierra da Estrala Natural Park. The position is dramatic! Looking down southwards to the plain below. There is plenty of free Car Parking on site, the welcome and all of the staff are really engaging and happy to help with any request. There is a large open pool and sun terrace with the views described above. The rooms are quite well appointed and have Air Con which in summer you do need. The breakfast service was quite good not in the top rank but adequate. Due to the hotels isolated position (there are no other bars or restaurants nearby) we took the Half Board option which of course included dinner. Our ‘expectation’ for dinner was a ‘table d’hote’ type menu with course options and table service. However this was not the case, the dinner was a two option hot Buffet and was VERY poor quality fare, we were in the first tranche of evening diners and the food was already looking very tired and dry. So please beware of the inclusive dinner and perhaps ask more questions than we did when booking. In mitigation the man that was servicing the tables, drinks, clearing refreshing the food etc was working very hard to a. Please the clientele, he was very personable and friendly b. Try and keep,on top of what was clearly a several person task. I asked on check out if they were short staffed, ‘They were’ so being fair everyone was trying hard to deliver the best service under duress. In summary, great staff, great view, reasonable services but questionable food.

It is regrettable that there is no receptionist in a 4-star hotel. Just a sign, with a cell phone number, which is also useless, as no one answers. So we had to wait (im)patiently, with two children, to be able to check in. However, there were already about 4 more families behind us in line.

A hotel with brutal potential and a splendid view, however the lack of maintenance is visible when you arrive at the place, it is not 'tidy' as the photos indicate. The staff was impeccable, from reception to breakfast. However, the cleanliness of the room and common areas was not as I imagined for a 4-star hotel, the mattress means that the comfort is not spectacular.

The hotel staff is very friendly. Breakfast is good and with variety. The view from the hotel is fantastic. The rooms are comfortable and modern. The environment is always warm. It is close to tourist attractions and close to the Tower.

Hotel acolhedor, mas já antigo. Tem uma ótima localização e excelente vista. Um ponto que destacamos como menos positivo são os quartos - são antigos e ouve-se alguns barulhos de água a correr na canalização, o que nem sempre é agradável. As almofadas são limitadas e mesmo depois de pedir, não existe disponíveis. O staff é simpático e bastante pronto para ajudar. O pequeno almoço é bastante diversificado e de qualidade. O staff que acompanhou o pequeno almoço foi prestável, tendo a gentileza de dar a experimentar queijo da serra.

Fomos passar a passagem de ano a este hotel, com alguma expectativa, pois foi a nossa primeira vez neste tipo de andanças. Fomos no dia 30 e fomos muito bem recebidos no check in. Quartos comunicantes, de tamanho não muito grande, mas que serviram perfeitamente o propósito. Hotel a necessitar de manutenção, mas limpo e confortável. Pequeno almoço simples, mas completo, acrescentaria alguns produtos regionais para ser perfeito. Jantar de fim de ano bem organizado, confecionado e com bastante variedade. Animação musical muito boa. Passagem de ano animada. Staff muito simpático, sempre preocupado com o bem estar dos “convidados” da noite e ao longo de toda a estadia. Brunch do dia seguinte serviu o propósito é disponível até às 15:00, o que permitiu fazer também o late check out. Na generalidade gostamos muito, foram uns dias e uma noite diferente, feliz ano de 2025 para todos!

Localização muito boa a caminho das Penhas da Saúde. Não corresponde ao esperado para 4*, excepto pequeno almoço. Limpeza, manutenção, atendimento e conforto dos quartos são os items que não correspondem ao esperado para a classificação e preço.
