Altstadthotel Hayk am Rhein

My husband and our three kids stayed 2 nights in one the apartments. After going to bed the second night we hear a sound and after a while we realise that it is a mouse!! It sits behind the desk and we can see it clearly. We call the reception and they say that there are no staff at the hotel. She then propose that we put something in front of the desk so the mouse cannot get out. After making it clear the the receptionist that our family is not sleeping in a room with a mouse my husband is told to go to the reception and open a box to find a key to another apartment. We move all our stuff and our sleeping kids and the second apartment is a lot nicer than the first one, so far so good. When we leave the hotel there is no one in the reception so we write an email telling about experience and claiming a refund. The hotel answers in a very aggressive tone that we are lying and that there is no mouse. Despite the nice location we can’t recommend anyone to stay at this hotel, the staff is rude and have no respect for their costumes.

Wir waren nun bereits zum 4.mal da, ein 5.mal wird es aber nicht geben. Für Feierwütige die nur ein Bett zum schlafen brauchen mag es ausreichen,da man sich im Klaren sein muss das hier jeden Abend Party vor der Tür ist. Ruhe findet man hier nicht. Unser Kind ist mittlerweile zu groß für ein Zustellbett und das Zimmer ist langsam renovierungsbedürftig. Tapete löst sich, WC Tür quietscht, Abdeckung von der Steckdose lose, Toilettenbrille defekt, um nur einiges zu nennen. TV und WLAN Empfang ist auch nicht so prickelnd. TV kann man gleich auslassen und WLAN ist recht instabil. Frühstück gibt es hier mittlerweile auch nicht mehr. Schade!
