"The stay experience exceeded expectations! The hotel staff is warm and thoughtful, and the whole process of guidance from entering the door to staying. The rooms are modern and elegant, the bedding is soft and comfortable, the bathroom facilities are high-end and the wet and dry are separated. Daily cleaning is meticulous and even the corners are spotless. The location is excellent and the surrounding dining and shopping are convenient. I especially like the concierge to take the initiative to help plan the tourist route and also presented a special souvenir. It is highly recommended for business travel or leisure vacation, and I will definitely choose again next time I come to this city!"

"This is a really hard review to write because the actual hotel, the breakfast and most of the staff were excellent. The room was lovely and air conditioned which was a god send in the 30° plus heat. It was great value for money. I would have given it 5 out of 5 but for one person and that was the horrid, intimidating night porter. I know people often say that French people can be dismissive if you attempt to speak in French but I've never really found this and we've holidayed in France a great deal as my husband is fluent. On our first night at the hotel we didn't have any water in our room so after getting in from meeting friends for dinner and drinks I went downstairs to ask for some water. I asked in French and I know it's not perfect but I was going to give it a go but the rudeness I was greeted with was on another level. Not only was he rude but he was also intimidating and obviously quite liked the power of no one else being around, it being late at night and he obviously felt very much in control of the situation. He told me my French was appalling and that I shouldn't even try to speak to him because it was hideous to him. I was pretty shocked but asked for water in English and he was really annoyed and complaining that he had to go and get it for me. He did get it because I wasn't going to back down but the whole thing was really upsetting. Interestingly I was there for a wedding being held near by and my husband told the mother of the bride who said she'd had exactly the same experience from presumably the same man when she had stayed there for one night before going on to the wedding venue. She had tried to ask about the hotel being locked as her son was arriving late due to train cancellation. She is a French speaker so was horrified to be told that her French was awful and she shouldn't bother and to her questions not really being answered. I wonder if this nasty person would have done the same if we'd been men? I very much doubt it. Hotel Heritage you have a lovely hotel, your front of house day staff could not be more helpful, your breakfast was incredible and your rooms were lovely but what are you going to do about this really vile person who is discrediting your establishment? You have a duty of care to your customers not to be intimidated or humiliated by your staff. "

"Welcoming, friendly, helpful, polite, downside this year very little hydrostatic paper remained in the unwinder coupled with 2 rolls. . Despite my report, I was told at reception that there was enough paper, that the room had been made before my arrival and that I did not know how to operate the coupled unwinder and I was kindly explained that when a roll is empty you push to bring the opposite full roll. And,,, they agreed with me, there was almost nothing left, fortunately for the train journey I had brought a full roll But otherwise everything is impeccable and the staff greet you even when they pass you in the street and they are off duty. So I want to point it out, I just said a downside"

"Style over substance. Arrival - We booked the hotel over the phone & specifically asked not to be put in the Chai as it is a separate building to the hotel. When we arrived, we were taken directly to a Chai room & had to request to be moved. The guests in the room next door to us sounded like they were actually in the room with us, which was not a problem in the afternoon but after dinner they were very loud. Terrible set up with no soundproofing. Lunch - Creepy Crawley running through the restaurant. When the waitress was told she ignored it & left it on the floor next to my chair. We ordered a 2nd lot of potatoes with lunch that were completely burnt on arrival, we asked for them to be replaced but they didn’t come until after we had finished the meal. As we were waiting for the potatoes we were asked if we wanted more bread but they failed to bring us any. Dinner - The evening meal was tasteless, under seasoned & unimaginative. Not the gastronomic experience we were promised. We ordered champagne with dinner that was warm. Breakfast - served in the library on chairs that were so low it was like sitting on the floor, whilst the dining room had no one in it. Weird uncomfortable set up. The waitress at breakfast was constantly coughing into her hands & wiping them down her trousers, no sign of any hand gel. When my coffee was served, I found one of her hairs in it. Disgusting."

"An absolute pleasure to spend one night in this fantastic hotel. Opened three years ago after a four year refurbishment the quality of the building, spectacular reception area, public rooms, and lovely bedrooms is exceptional. Attention to detail in design and execution is outstanding, with particular commendation for the inlaid wooden doors and cabinetry in the comfortable bedrooms. Reception staff charming, bags taken from car to room and car valet parked, and returned in anticipation of our leaving on morning of departure. Breakfast was a delight, high quality and served on the shaded terrace, probably the best breakfast I have had in France. Unfortunately for us the Michelin star restaurant, Names, was closed but we ate in the separate brasserie in the grounds, separate review details the top notch experience we had. I have no qualms in unequivocally recommending this property, it really is outstanding."
