"This being a newer hotel in the area, we thought it would be a nice, relaxing place to stay. It was a bit pricey so we were glad we only had to stay one night. The hotel is located beside the police department so it was annoying to get woken up during the night from the sirens. After going back to sleep we were again woken up at approximately 5:30am to a loud humming noise coming from the heat/air unit in our room. Which caused the heat not to blow any air at all, we turned the thermostat off but the unit continued with the humming noise. And it was extremely cold outside which caused our room to cool down almost immediately. Then the complimentary breakfast (which is paid for in the room rate) was horrible, not a wide selection of food to pick from and what was offered was not really ordinary breakfast food. The “scrambled” eggs were not completely cooked, they were so runny that water was standing in the bottom of the container they were sitting in! Then the batter for the fix-it-yourself waffles was so thick that it took, at least, 5 minutes to fill up the little 5oz cup so you weren’t able to fix a whole waffle especially if you wanted to eat before the rest of your food got cold. To say the least, we were not impressed with this hotel and unless it’s an emergency, like this stay was, we will not stay here again nor will we recommend Springfield Suites to family, friends, acquaintances or strangers. We would rather drive 45 minutes to an hour away to stay at a better hotel; one where the staff takes pride in their quality and service."

Econo Lodge Cheraw Market Street ★★

"Spend a couple more dollars and go to the Jamison Inn/Quality Inn. This place was such a dump! We came to town early to use the pool only to find it was closed and they offered no compensation. The room had dirty walls, baseboards, bathroom and a foul odor. Countertops were falling apart and appliances were completely outdated and broken. Complete waste of money. See pictures for evidence."
