Sonderia Hostel&Bar-lazybones

Terrible hostel. Maybe I was unlucky because it was under restoration but my experience was not good at all. The whole building was on ruins and was very hard to finde. Moreover, when I was using my laptop in the lobby, they startup drilling on the floor above and bits of rock kept coming down and nobody said anything. The wifi stopped working the 2nd day and the staff were not very nice either. However, great location and the price is very cheap, I assume you cannot ask for more. It stated it had gym but it does not at this time at least

Was a comfortable stay . The hostel had a beautiful and well stocked bar downstairs . Only had an issue with state of the towels given but overall it was a good stay and I would definitely come back again. Location was good as it is central and close to a lot of places and I received a lot of help in planning my itinerary . Very good price for a lovely place !

訂了提早入住，也同意了，訂單上寫著10:00後入住，12點多到，結果不能入住還要等。廁所滿髒的，有付費式的洗衣機跟烘衣機，還有一間小健身房。

來成都住的第一家青旅，現在記起來還沒寫評價，在住過其他青旅之後，對比起來，這裏床品質量不好，有點破舊，沒有及時檢查沐浴用品，導致晚上無法洗澡，然後也因為阿姨下班，也沒有想到過準備備用，或者去庫房找找，回覆態度也不太負責，不怎麼熱情的青旅

I’d say the hostel has a youth vibe and rooms with windows are spacious. Cleanliness could be improved big time as well the messiness in the hallways - apparently the hostel is being renovated so many debris can be spotted accumulated down the hall. Location close enough to the Temple and Monastery complex and to an amazing restaurant street with delicious Chengdu food. Make sure you buy water before coming in and select rooms with windows otherwise you may be assigned one that’s has none.

(pictures attached!)We're not used to writing bad reviews but unfortunatey this time I feel that we owe it to the travel community to say what we have to say. So, first off, they put us in a room that was not the one we booked. We are a marries couple so we booked a "Boutique double room" which looks quite good in pictures. Instead they put us in aa single room, which means the bed was smaller (atill for 2 people but smaller), and the room was at least half the size of what we originally has booked. The big window at the side of the bed was not there but rather it ea very small and quite far fro the bed as you can see in the pictures. But then the bathroom!: the shower wasn't in a closed space but rather it was just a shower head pactically above the toilet seat, making the whole tiny bathroom wet and unusable after taking a simple shower. Water pressure is also very bad and the temperature was just warm, never hot, which coming in February was very bad, as you get cold during the shower given it has no shower screen. The worst of all, was the pungent, persistent awful smell in the whole room coming from the bathroom. It is probably because of all the humidity the room has. We were put in room 333 specifically. We passed by other rooms whule they were being cleaned and I truly believe our room was the worst of all, even though we had booked for a good room. The walls and the corners of the room were quite dirty. We also wanted to boil some water to make instant noodles but found out the kettle had water from who knows when, and smelled awful. Both nights we had to sleep with the window oipen because of this awful smell, which in february meant we got cold during the night. There was a bit of black mould in the shower, too. We complained about the room not being the one we payed for to the staff, hoping they would solve the situation so that I wouldn't have to write this review. But they told us taht they basically only had 1 other room available for us and only for th second night, but it was a twin room so still much worse than what we originally wanted. So basically they didn't do anything. I asked the price of the room we booked to the staff because maybe we had made a mistake, but when she told us the price, ti was exactly what we had payed for. Also, the wifi in the room does not work, so we had to go down to the lobby to simply use our phones or computer. If you're counting on workign from your room, don't. I am attaching pictures of the room that we got (the three frist pictures) and the room that we had originally booked through this website. You can see how they're completely different.

This is a really nice and cozy place, they have live music and a lot of interesting activities! the staff was great and friendly, specially Nicole (小美)，she was really kind and friendly, she was a huge help for our stay in ChengDu.

suitable for young travelers, the place is cozy, you meet lots of new foreigners and there are exciting activities. All the receptionists are fine and the best receptionist is Mr. Green. Thank you for your service, especially to the Ayi (阿姨).I appreciate it.

Lola is very friendly and helpful, she helps as much as possible. Hotel is convenient with self service laundry. The location is ok, 10min walk to metro. 15min walk to wen shu yan. The room is spacious, just that the vandalism is not that good, got one kind of smell in the room. It would be great if can provide small towel and shower cap.
