Xingyuewan Seaview Holiday Hotel

"The room was barely on par with a hostel. The panoramic photos on the platform were completely misleading – false advertising at its finest. The pool looked like something out of a rural guesthouse. Absolutely not worth the thousand-plus yuan price. There was no room service at all; I stayed for two days and the room was never cleaned. The most disgusting part was on the first day when I asked the front desk if they could help purchase return ferry tickets. They said yes and asked us to bring our ID cards the next morning so they could buy them for us. However, when we went to the front desk the next morning, we encountered the female owner who said they couldn't buy ferry tickets for us and told us to go to the port ourselves. Her attitude was terrible and really soured our travel experience. To make matters worse, this dump of a place and the port are on opposite ends of the island. I don't understand why the front desk staff and the owner gave conflicting information – it really makes you question the business's integrity."

"Very satisfied. They arranged a pick-up and drop-off at the port, which was very friendly and thoughtful. I also really like the hotel's location; it's quiet, not directly by the sea (no worries about the smell of the sea), and some rooms have sea views. It's not close to the mountains (no worries about flash floods, mudslides, etc. during rain (I tend to be a bit of a pessimist). The rooms are also mosquito-free. A 3-5 minute walk from the hotel is a rocky beach, perfect for catching fish. The water is clear, the crowds are sparse, and the scenery is beautiful. Just around the corner from the hotel is the fishing boat harbor, which is absolutely stunning in the evening. Moon Bay is only a 10-15 minute ride on the electric scooter at the door, which is very convenient. The hotel also has an outdoor pool, which was great for letting the kids play in the sea, even if they didn't dare let them."

The price of the homestay is really hard to say. Later, I chose Moon Bay Hotel and upgraded a suite for us. It was really good. The room was clean. The kettle is particularly clean. It should be just replaced in summer. Don’t worry about boiling water. The bathroom 🚽 is also new. When I checked in, the aunt was cleaning and found that the shower head was not very easy to use. The aunt found that the maintenance staff was very cool. Although the hotel was established for a long time, I found that it was also changing. Really good, I live in suite 201 is good. If my friends want to choose a new one, you can see this room. I didn't live in other rooms."

The entrance of the homestay is the place to catch the sea － The island's very famous "Xiwanghai" sunset is very beautiful. Living here can watch different sunsets every day 🌇 We are fortunate to live on the top floor. You can see the sea view by opening the door. The sea breeze at night is particularly comfortable. The room I lived in was clean and tidy, very warm and comfortable; if you can swim, you can rent a wetsuit, or bring your own diving mirror, just at the door is not too deep, you can catch sea cucumbers when the tide is low. If you catch sea cucumbers, you can find the proprietress for processing. The sea cucumbers made by the proprietress are very delicious. (Our sea cucumbers were caught when snorkeling. Next to the Golden Beach, the owner of the hotel can help contact the snorkeling instructor or arrange a fishing experience) I really recommend it to friends who plan to travel to Scorpio Island.
