Good location close to many restaurants and Starbucks. Friendly staff. Daily housekeeping. Rooms are large and necessary amenities are there for a comfortable stay. Bed is comfortable. Aircon is good. Have to run the shower for 10 minutes for a hot shower. Balconies are flooded after raining and the drains are blocked. Hotel is a bit old but at a good location and is functional.

They had a wonderful time staying at the hotel. Easy check in and check out. Rhe place is very accessible to the city center where shoppings places located. Surely worth it the price, affordable and convenient.

Disappointing Quality hotel. Booked two single rooms for two nights through Agoda. It’s an old hotel renovated. While checkin the lady staff doesn’t look at all pleasant or wished at once. She behaved very unfriendly. After entering in the room we found many small cockroaches, baby spiders inside the room, especially bathroom and inside the cupboards. When complained the reception staff said, she will report to the supervisor.... Ordered a snack and the food was delivered with less cutlery, we asked for one set cutlery but never arrived. Queried about spa service with the same reception staff, she told us she will call us back but never happened . Overall extremely unhappy and unpleasant stay in this property and will never recommend to anyone to stay here. The WiFi was pathetic, keep disconnecting and when complained the lady staff mentioned she will report to the IT.

The room has a balcony which you can view a part of Cebu City. It had a comfortable couch where you can rest. The room had enough space and would make you feel relaxed. Air conditioning was then good.

This place needs a good clean. End of story. There is no reason for an old hotel to be in the state it is. Cockroaches, dirty carpets, non-functional AC, cobwebs, dirty toilets. I can go on. The place would actually be pretty decent if the cleaning staff did their job. It is an old hotel but offer decent accommodation, good tv and WiFi. There seems to be a serious lack of management/quality control for the rooms and their cleanliness though. There is nothing a good deep clean to ALL of their facilities will do to lift this place. Really unfortunate but I won’t be back. My honest opinion of a bad night.

My family enjoyed staying at Cebu Grand Hotel for two weeks. Rooms are spacious, very clean and staff are very attentive. The only thing that was disappointing was breakfast. They should put a variety of breakfast cereal for children and they have to cook the rice better! My kids loved the pool upstairs, it was very quiet at the time we were there so the kids have the pool to themselves. Good size pool, the opening times were 9am to 5pm but if you are there after five they are happy for you to stay a bit longer, appreciate that especially when the kids love to swim! The staff are very friendly, they always say good morning maam or sir but after two weeks it gets a bit tiring of listening to it! Over all it was exceptional hotel to stay in, we'll come back again soon.

I've been staying at this hotel for 11 years almost each year now and feel tryluly at home there ! All the staff by now knows me ( I usually stay 6 weeks at a time ) and get that extra service I guess.. We've all become friends over the years , also with the management. I recommend the CGH to anyone who wants a quality stay and excellent service .. I've booked again today for December and will stay 28 nights lookig forward to it and my friends out there !

The staffs of this hotel is very friendly and efficient. They're easy to deal with and most requests are address in a timely fashion. it's just a 7 story building and it's old but rooms are comfortable, clean and newly refurbished. They have a tiny pool at the roof deck which badly needs expansion. They offer buffet breakfast in the morning which offers a lot of options for tourists. The location of this hotel is in Escario street right across Capitol Parish Church and it's surrounded by restaurants, massage parlors and some novelty shops. Ayala Center is just one jeepney ride away and taxis are plenty on this site.

When I arrived just after midnight the receptionist was very nice. She gave me a big room. To my surprise, the room had NO window, which was not what I had asked for. When arriving in the room and set down on the chair ... it collapsed!! Luckily, I didn't heard myself. When I was trying to put some stuff into the fridge ... it didn't work ... Bad start !!! The receptionist gave me another room! The following morning I continued to have several other problems. too lengthy to explain! Luckily, they were all solved by the great initiative of the receptionist Ms. ANA. A big thank you to her !! A major shortfall was the unreliable WiFi system of the entire hotel. This is unacceptable, especially, if you have foreign visitors who do NOT have a local service provider!!

Good place to stay. Location is great. You can easily get a taxi or grab car and go anywhere in the city. Very near to shops, cafes, and restaurants. Reasonably priced, and the rooms are clean and spacious. A good place to relax from touring the city.

Overall quality of Cebu Grand Hotel: - Strong mold/mildew odor throughout the building. - Lack of any cleaning skills - Lack of any maintenance - Excessive moisture/water damage throughout - Rats in the ceiling - Dirty AC-unit and very dirty filter - Health risk Me and my wife's experience: We chose this hotel due to us testing positive for covid-19 and this is one of the few hotels in Cebu City that provides a self-isolation service with full-board meals for 5000 PHP per night. Upon arrival we notice a strong mold/mildew odor from the hotel lobby even when wearing two masks and a face shield (which continues throughout the building), the on-site nurse checks our temperature etc. and then we are sent off to our room. When entering the room the mold/mildew smell intensifies and we try to settle inn. We start to notice that there has been water/moisture damage several places in the ceiling. The air coming out of the aircondition unit has a fowl smell apart from the mold/mildew smell. I open the filter of the AC-unit and notice that it is very dirty to say the least. I then proceed to call the hotel lobby to get the air filter cleaned, which they do, but after a while we still can't bear the smell of the mold/mildew. I start checking to see if the room has any visual mold/mildew. Shortly I find mold/mildew growth several places in the room and immediately call the lobby to have us transferred to a different room on the condition that I am allowed to inspect the room first. When inspecting several of the rooms that they show me, I find the same issues in all of the rooms. I am then shocked that they would even think that their hotel is safe for anyone to stay in. They then tell me that they will asses the issues in the morning and since I and my wife have to self-isolate we have no choice but to stay in the hotel. Me and my wife desperately try to find another isolation hotel but with it getting late we have no luck getting in contact with another hotel. We end up going to sleep only for a few hours wearing two face masks each to decrease the risks of breathing in the toxic mold/mildew air. We then wake up at 2 am because of the intense moldy air and cannot fall back to sleep. Luckily for us there was a private balcony in our room and we stayed out there to get fresh air. We stayed there until about 11 am when we were able to transfer to a different hotel to continue our isolation (the other hotel provided the same service, but with clean room, building, air etc. and full board meals for about 1000 PHP per night, very big difference). I am surprised how little they care for their guests and to put someone who has a weakened immune system fighting covid in an environment like that is seriously dangerous. Every breath you take in that hotel is a health risk. I am amazed that they are even open and even more amazed that they where on the certified list for approved hotels to stay in for covid patients. They wanted 5000 php per night! This is a joke

We booked a deluxe room for 2 nights at this hotel. It was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We were given a room where the faucet and shower were rusty and the toilet was dirty with brown stains. The toilet lid was wobbly and almost broken. The storage area for cosmetic items was the toilet cistern. The view of the backyard with old dirty corrugated iron roofs. The rusted steel windows smeared with paint. The facility as from bulky waste. holes in the walls. The closet was so dirty that you couldn't use it. That's called a grand hotel with deluxe rooms. I wouldn't book here again, even for a gift.
